For a long time I really didn’t like the peters parents storyline since it diminishes his importance as being bitten by chance, however upon rewatch I really with that we could’ve seen the full idea of it. It’s hard to judge something that we never saw finished.

3:16 No Way Home made a parallel of that scene, and this deleted scene is CANON. They should’ve kept it. Andrew even mentioned it in NWH when talking about losing his Gwen to Tom after May’s demise. If No Way Home did this, so can TASM2.

The Richard parker scene is giving vibes of the peters clone in the ultimate universe. Basically, in the ultimate universe or in earth 1610, peter parker finds out his dad is alive, but through a series of incidents, it turns out peters dad was a clone, not a real one, i don't remember if the clone was a clone of peter parker or his dad, but the comics said the clone had a DNA match of peter parker. Maybe the third one could have started a clone saga

the reason those scenes were cut was because the production team already knew that a third movie wasnt gonna happen. they actually knew about this in the middle of making tasm 2, which is why all those scenes that wouldve made a good foundation for a third movie were removed

@@gursimar10That’s not the reason. Avi Arad cut most of the scenes out because of pacing. It was a hit and miss because if we included all these scenes there would literally be 14 different main characters and storylines (Peter’s blood, Harry, Electro, Rhino, Goblin, Norman, Gwen leaving, MJ, MJ’s father, Felicia Hardy, etc) and the movie would’ve been too cluttered. Although the scene with Peter’s father alone would’ve made the movie not do as bad. There we’re actually plans and a script in making for Tasm 3, but at the time Disney and Sony were having conflicts, so they just straight up fired Andrew from the role.

Based on the footage we have, I feel like Harry Osborn should have been the only villain. Electro is stupid and doesn’t have a good motive for his villainy, whilst Rhino is pointless and not intimidating or imposing in the slightest. Since they wanted to tackle Gwen’s relationship with Peter and her death, making the villain their best friend would’ve made the movie more concise.

They should have kept the armor scene. It explains why Harry crawled to it while his body broke apart from the venom. He knew it would help. Without that scene, it's rendered "plot needed it to happen, who cares if it doesn't make sense".

Feels trailer was for a totally different movie with much more focused vision, may have been cut around because the whole Marvel Sony fight, who will take spiderman, I am still not sure what was going on, these scenes really turns the gears imagining a whole different movie with scary tone like the first one

Imagine the potential of this Movie without Electro and Rhino. Just Harry/Green Goblin, Gwen, Peter, maybe MJ if it makes sense, Norman Osborn and Richard at the end. Could have been a very deep movie with a strong foundation for a third one (Richard Parker as a key role for instance)

After watching this video seriously I saying this the director and the crew they should delete from 1:50,3:23,9:22,13:22,19:35,22:48,24:10,24:34,25:12,25:20,25:24,25:37,25:41 and 25:46 because those scenes are doesn't deserve to be Deleted and what we wanted especially the 3:23(Peter meet with Felicia a.k.a Black Cat) and 19:35,24:34,25:12,25:24 (Mary Jane a.k.a MJ scenes)

the movie was great, but could have been better. it had so much more potencial, if sony had the terrible idea of ending (well, canceling) andrew's spider man generation with tasm 2, they could and should have made it better. this scenes are so good and would add so much to the characters development's and to the story in general! furthermore, a spin-off with felicia as black cat could be very interesting, just like they did with venom in the first generation. sony had one job and messed it up.

I really dont understand why they would cut all the mj stuff but still keep all the useless dad scenes. The most important scene where peters dad is in was deleted (the norman scene) and they still kept that entire subplot

I read somewhere that they wanted to do the "Clone Saga" story arc for the next film. That's why they kept most of the dad scenes. But i think halfway through they kinda regret it (? (The alternate ending for example, it's loosely based on a scene of the Clone Saga in Ultimate Spider-Man) I'm sure they problably thought that the Clone Saga is pretty much an awful Spider-Man story lmao so just in case they regret it or not, they did a weird mesh of leaving some scenes with the dad and other stuff like, the Sinister Six build up, more love scenes with Gwen (which should've been the main focus imo) and other stuff... They wanted to tell so much with this film but it was way too much bs to add in. Mostly Sony's fault tho
