Majority of the haters were bully Maguire fans who couldn't handle not seeing a carbon copy of the "oh so perfect" Raimi trilogy. Don't get me wrong that trilogy is iconic, but that didn't mean they were supposed to blindly hate Andrew's version. Heck the DC has had so many Batman and Superman movies idek all of them and they have no issue picking a favourite without hating another. It all comes down to Spidey's fame as a comic book character, and causes such polarization.

Yeah, honestly, the "Peter misinterpreted the words" trope is tiring, but it's also a significant part of his identity. Ever since he was an emotional teen, he's had to suppress himself to become Spider-Man. He's still a troubled and confused adult who makes bad decisions in the heat of the moment. I can't say I'm happy with how he abandoned Gwen in the movies, especially since she's clearly an 11/10, but it makes sense that Peter Parker would sooner shoulder the burden of isolation than keep those close to him involved in his troubling existence.

For Spider-Man's ability to stick through his clothing: it _does_ transcend, but the material has to be thin enough. Hence why his shoes end up looking more like slippers than anything. Also why he's able to stick through things like wallpaper which should, in theory, just tear off otherwise.

One thing I liked about the movie is a very interesting look on Peter. For example, instead of just a bullied nerd, he's the weird kid who sits in the back of class and is a smartass-asshole. Sure, I fucking *love* the goody-twoshoes nerd that Maguire portrayed, but i find this version to be interesting. And i loved the bridge scene, where he saves that kid instead of chasing the villain, because it was the right thing to do. I wish they hadn't cut some scenes, because those were better than the ones already in the movie. I wish Mark Webb got to do his shit, and make a good movie without so much interference. It would have been... good. And amazing.
@Torlik112 жыл бұрын
I think that version is more relatable and realistic than the Maguire one. You believe a character like that could exist and I think it's a better representation of what a nerd would look like today. What High Boy said about Minecraft and this movie is true, tho. Especially about Minecraft. It used to be extremely hated, and it was like that FOR YEARS, despite the game being really similar to what it still is. It's just that most people are unable to form thoughts of their own, and as soon as "ceartain" big creators came back to it and started treating it with respect (yeah I know, shocking how you can still show respect to thing people don't like) and enjoying it, all the npcs came out of the woodwork claiming it was "the best thing ever", refusing anyone could say anything else about it. Personally, I don't enjoy playing it that much. But I still have respect for it and other opinions. Which is something that the sheep couldn't understand back when they hated it, and still can't understand now that they literally adore it as the "bEsT gAmE eVaAaH".

I like how he always rates these movies with the most random and unexpected shit you could possibly think of. It could be anything for something like 1 Empire State Building out of 42 Lamborghinis to just the number 6. It’s really weird, doesn’t make any sense and I love it.

Hi. Spider-Man nerd here. I have an answer for the question at 4:38. It’s his molecules which stick to the walls and stuff, they stick to the wall through his clothing, however the thicker the clothing then the harder it is to stick. If he’s wearing shoes normally he has to take them off. This allows him to stick to any wall no matter how rough or slippery it is. So yeah, his molecules sorta like bond his skin and body to things and he can’t be removed unless he releases his grasp. Edit: So I realize there are two explanations. The second one is his ability gave him electrostatic force which allows him to stick to things. Comics aren’t that consistent so that’s why there are two explanations
@lamp69092 жыл бұрын
Facts Nerd here: molecules don’t actually touch, they just float around and link up with air. So technically, Peter’s just using air to link to the wall. I win

I'm happy that the movies are geting more appreciation but PISSED that nobody liked them before. I say Tobey's movies first but Andrew's felt more relevent/modern as well as more emotionally impactful with how you can relate with the caracters. Plus he had a badass suit.

All Spiderman movies are rewatchable. I've never once thought of Amazing Spiderman as a bad or even a mediocre movie. To me, all Spiderman movies are amazing in their own ways. I used to binge watch the whole spider man series with my bro and sis when I was younger. It was so much fun.

I’m glad to see this movie finally getting appreciation. I was one of the few who loved the Andrew movies, especially the first one. It had so much emotion and character development in it, and Andrew just gives off such a good vibe while playing Spider-Man. Plus it’s the most comic accurate Spider-Man movie to date.

I wondered about how they stick to walls once they gained their suits. It could be different with Andrew and Tom's Spidey, but with Tobey's movies, it was established he got his wall crawling abilities from the hairs that are growing from his fingers and possibly toes, but he sticks with shoes on when he first games his climbing abilities. But do they make their suits with a special material that hairs can like through or what? Because it's hard to get many hairs through fabric.
@ankurdesai83707 ай бұрын
it is mostly because, their limbs generate an adhesive, similar to how we sweat, hence it can extend to the stuff they wear. Yeah in the raimi trilogy they show the hair, but honestly the hair doesn't necessarily stop tobey's spidey from generating the adhesive it would just mean he has both the adhesive and the hair, so his sticking ability would be stronger without the gloves It is pretty strong adhesive too, he can literally rip ppl's skin off with that! Kaine (a clone of spidey in the comics, long story that doesn't need to be explained) regularly uses the ability to stick his hands to ppl's faces and rip off the entire face and kill them! Spidey just uses it to stick to stuff cause he is constantly holding back in fights cause he doesn't want to kill ppl or damage property much.
