In the distant past of Earth, a meteoroid carrying peculiar alien spiders hurtles towards the planet. Amidst a prehistoric chase between the fearsome T-Rex Norrannosaurman and the timid Pteranodon named Pter Ptarker, both dinosaurs are struck by the meteorite. They regain consciousness to discover their bodies have inexplicably swapped, adorned in vibrant costumes.
Norrannosaurman resumes his attack on Ptarker, but the tables turn when Ptarker retaliates with his tail. As they grapple with the theft of their bodies, Ptarker uses his newfound Spider powers to subdue Norrannosaurman's lackeys. Norrannosaurman warns Ptarker that their rivalry is not over.
Embracing his enhanced body, Ptarker declares his newfound strength and swings away with his web-slinging abilities. However, his jubilant swing comes to a tragic halt as a branch snaps, causing him to fall and accidentally crush Norrannosaurman and two innocent dinostanders. Overwhelmed by the consequences of his recklessness, the Amazing Spider-Rex learns the important lesson of great power and great responsibility.
