Nice! I use an app called Windfinder to check wind before fishing trips but this looks like another great resource. Thanks for sharing!

I just randomly came across this app yesterday - and I NEVER thought I would ever spend 6+ hours straight on playing with a weather-app! xD Just watching those winds so smoothly sweeping and swirling around on the screen is probably THE most satisfying thing I've ever experienced since I discovered that my ding-dong has TWO functions! 😂

Was a dark sky fan but this is great eye candy when keeping an eye on systems
@myadventureoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
I recently found Dark Sky and it's a good minimalistic app. However, windy.com you can immerse yourself and if you are not a weather junky already, you might become one.

That is a pretty cool app. I need to try to download that. Thanks for sharing Steve O

Hey I just seen something online you might be interested in. It's for your adventure Van. Its called Swiss Room Box. Check it out. It is really expensive, but it looks like you could replicate it fairly cheap with your Alpha mind and all.

Just imagine going back to XV century, opening your laptop and show Windy.com to Vasco da Gama or Fernão de Magalhães. "Ok, here's the map of the world, the distances, the winds, temperatures, sea currents, all real time."

I’m sure you have a generator and wifey is well taken care of. We have a generator and we don’t get storms. Sure hope the water doesn’t intrude on your property and you can get back to normal soon. Wishing everyone affected by Florence all the best.

That's pretty cool. Have you tested it against weather.com to see the difference? I'm wondering which is more accurate, because the numbers I get are different. Weather.com says the winds up at Kerr Lake where I usually fish right now is 6mph. Windy says 13mph. That's a fairly significant difference.
@myadventureoutdoors6 жыл бұрын
Bill, with my superior brain and my uncanny ability to evaluate and form an opinion on virtually any subject, I declare windy.com the superior website for weather. 7 mph wind difference doesn't matter to that Honda 4 stroke outboard. Wooooooooooo!
