Many thanks for doing this. When the awards only are streamed, we miss all of these wonderful cars that don't grab a trophy each year. After attending Amelia 10 years straight, my nearly 80 year old legs are no longer up to the task. The MacMinn coupe you showed in the barn find category was featured in Road & Track back in the day, as were many of the fiberglass bodied cars there. Strother MacMinn was a talented designer, artist and cartoonist. Keep these videos coming.

thank you so much for giving some love to the RUF automobile. people don't understand who truly special they are. when Porsche gives a tuner its bodies in white says everything. no other company in history has been so blessed by Porsche. a company that now builds a product with only 2 O.E. parts from Porsche is insane. to get approved to make your own headlights, taillights etc. costs more money than you could believe and take in account that the several million dollars per part to get TUV or DOT approval for a run of 50 cars. no other tuner has become a manufacturer able to get VIN numbers and sell cars as there own when they were Porsches no their own. they also had an electric 911 10years before America got on the EV kick. they are a family that all works there plus 100+ employees it just legend. no other company will ever be able to do and no one before was able to do what RUF has done. they truly are 1 of a kind never to be duplicated. now after 15 or so years RUF has a new home in America. most people think they just customized Porsches nope. oh yeah they also developed their own flat plane crank 4.5l v8 with no other company. they do all their own r&d. sadly the rgt-8 wasn't a hit unbelievably. so thank you so many people walk by them you obviously are a true car guy with good taste. cheers sir

Thank you for this video. I have never been to the Amelia Island concourse on the East Coast. But I have been to the Pebble Beach concourse over here in California and I love going to it and we also have the Monterey historic as well. But thank you for this video over here on the West Coast.

Went to the Concours for the first time yesterday, it was a really fun event. The rain helped me get some good pictures of the super and hypercars as when it stopped there were far too many people around them to even move around.

That1956 XM Mercury is a one of a kind SHOW CAR that was abandoned and totally restored over a 2 or 3 year period. A tremendous amount of craftsmanship was put into the resto.

The Kimberly Cooper Indy Car started the rear-engine revolution at the Brickyard when "Gentleman Jim" Kimberly entered the car in the early 1960s with Jack Brabham driving. The Lotus-Fords soon followed with Clark & Gurney.

Owner tried to get the Irwin going once the rain stopped, it was flooded. Once he did get it going that engine was pure muscle. That white Shelby found in the barn was a gem, sad it was so rusted.

Is it just me or did that dark blue Ferrari in the early part of the video look a lot like the Chevy Monza early 70’s especially side rear with the side and back window.

I think that GTO was sold for $70 million in 2018 which at the time made it the world's most expensive car. Not one I would have skipped over either!

I did actually mention the GTO a little later in the video. It also figures prominently in a video that I will post soon, which is my favorite cars of the show! In fact, I tell one of my favorite stories about the GTO. I was in the middle of speaking about the Ferrari 250's storied history and specifications. The GTO was not very admired by the factory workers when it was first introduced. They actually thought it was ugly. After being raced, many old Ferrari race cars languished in the back of the factory. One was actually sold for just $3,000 later in the '60s from the factory. Nick Mason, Pink Floyd's drummer paid around $30,000 for his and people thought he was insane! Yes, now they are worth about 70 million depending on racing history. By the way, my favorite story is that Nick Mason actually drove his kid to school in it in the snow, because nothing else would start that day! @@drivinivan Nick Mason's car also has a rather cool number plate namely 250 GTO! He saw the car race at Goodwood in period as a boy in period when his father took him to watch an event there (maybe TT?). He took a photo of the car at the time. Years later when he could afford it he was looking for a GTO for sale and realised the car being sold was the very one he had the photo of racing at Goodwood. It just doesn't get any better than that!
