In honor of such a patriotic week here in the States, we are talking about the American Dream, how it shows up in Americans (businesses in particular), and how it fits in with disability rights! Do they work together? Do they work against each other? Let's dive in! 🇺🇸
✨ The goal of this channel is always to inform, to encourage thinking, to encourage curiosity, to explore ideas and concepts that maybe aren't explored frequently in our culture, and to do that in a way that's kind and compassionate towards ourselves and towards other people. That remains consistent in this video as well, so I'm not here to slam anything, to put anything down, but rather to be curious. ✨

Love your thoughts on hustle culture and capitalism. When do we decide we’ve done enough? People will hustle all the way to their graves…step over anybody to get to where they think they need to be. We could get a lot further a lot faster through teamwork and inclusion instead of tribalism and competition. Or at least it’d be a more enjoyable ride.

Consumerism is something I have been trying to become more aware of. Trying to be purposeful with finding like “slow fashion” pieces, trying to recycle ♻️ with what I buy regardless of what it is, and food waste knowledge or mindfulness. We all need to be intentional with our earned money to take care of the earth and humankind, etc. It isn’t all just about an individual. We need to think of others too ❤
