As a SD handler with my PTSD & Medical Alert SD: 2 things to clarify on: 1. Under ADA federal law service dogs can be owner trained and therefore will not have paperwork from an organization. Not all SD’s will have paperwork. 2. The exception to the rule “ service animals must be accompanied by their handler “ The handler might be down and needs their SD to perform their trained task of leaving their handler to go get help from the nearest person. The handler might be getting on an amusement ride and the park will have a SD crate by the ride for the as to wait in. ( if offered ) If that’s not an option they can have someone they are attending the park with hold their SD while on the ride. There’s multiple other situations, but I’m not going to get too detailed.
