County Sales just closed recently in Floyd, it was a great store. Glad we both agree on Sierra Ferrell! That John Prine album cover shows his mustache at its best. Crooked Tree is awesome, love it! Thanks for doing this Elliott!

Hi Sam! I ordered soething from County as they were closing but in the confusion of shutting down they sold out without filling my order! I sure wish they had been able to keep operating, but as a non-profit I imagine it got to be too much to maintain. Back in his day Prine could sport a first class mustache! Hey, Elliott! I really enjoyed this one. Maybe because we both have similar tastes when it comes to the undefinable Americana genre. Unfortunately we lost Bill Keith in 2015. Great banjo player. I am a big fan of David Grisman and of his Acoustic Disc label. For the first few years I purchased every release from the label (cd of course). I wish he would make his catalog available on both CD and vinyl. He and his group released so much great music. I am also a fan of the Red Clay Ramblers. About a decade ago I attempted a week long music camp at which Jim Watson from the group was an instructor. I got to share a few meals with him which was a real delight. Thanks for the video. I need to look into the Sierra recording, which is a new one for me. Enjoy the holidays. We have a snowstorm coming tomorrow which should bring about 6 inches of snow. Looks like we will have a white Christmas up here in the frozen tundra of the North, also known as Minnesota.

Hi Charlie, thanks for watching. This is a good thread for sure. I've watched several and definitely saw some music I had no idea about and need to investigate. I feel like you would really enjoy Ferrell, she was new to me this year and is already a favorite! Stay warm my friend and have a great 2025.

Great post! Grisman released Dawg '90 on vinyl for RSD's Black Friday drop this year. Hopefully, he will release more.

Hi Jon, that's good to hear. I'll have to see if I can find Dawg 90! I found Griseman's Christmas album at the Raleigh show this month!!! Happy New Year.
