It cost me 1500 of my Amtrak points for Myself and my wife definitely worth it. Relaxing and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast before the ride.

Do you have to purchase a business class seat to buy a day pass for the NYC lounge?

Hi Lauren, here are the rules for the day pass at any Amtrak lounge: Who is Eligible for Lounge Access? Lounge access is open to those with a same-day ticket and one of the following: Amtrak Guest Rewards members with Select Plus or Select Executive status. Amtrak Guest Rewards Station Lounge Pass. First Class or private room ticket. Business class passengers may use the Metropolitan Lounge in Portland as well as the Private Waiting Rooms in St. Paul/Minneapolis and St. Louis. Business class passengers can purchase a day pass for lounge access in Chicago - Union Station, Philadelphia - William H Gray III 30th Street Station, Boston - South Station, New York - Moynihan Train Hall and Los Angeles - Union Station. Private car owners/lessee and party between time of arrival and departure specified in the reservation. Provide your reservation number to the Amtrak representative upon entry. Due to space restrictions, private car owners and their groups are not permitted in the Los Angeles - Union Station Metropolitan Lounge. Pets are not allowed in any Amtrak station lounge or First Class waiting area.

Do they have lockers that have a lock, so they're secure?

I went back and checked the footage. I did not see lockers that securely locked. Which does seem odd to me, there should be a way to secure them. I'd speak with the team at the check in area to see what your options are for a secure locker. Thanks for watching!

every year for the too years I been coming up here I get the same nasty lady at the desk asking why was I sent up here and like I don't have money and the nice red cap helps me with my bags on to my train from now on im just going to talk to the other person at the desk and not her because she is very unprofessional and nasty

I wish they can focus on what's actually important. The most of people don't want to stay in lounges spending extra money. The people in train stations are there to go to places. I would just be there on time and leave the station as soon as my train arrives. The train is already too expensive for the poor quality and the outdated speed.

And I'm not really impressed with the lounge quality. Amtrak should take some notes from Korea and Japan.

Agreed USA trains are the WORST among developed nations, but this lounge would be a good option for transit passengers with a long layover.
