I'm so excited! Just signed up for an annual membership! I have ADHD and have discovered that learning with ADHD requires vastly different techniques than how a neurotypical learns. We need much more engaging material than just trying to learn solo from a book. So glad I found your channel! Thank you 🙏🏻

Hey! Thank you for the video and the course, very interesting. I will try your method from today! Hope that the english won't be an issue since I am not english native but it seems to be pretty simple stories or situations. I am very glad that this new way of learning exists, I was not very confortable with the other methods presented in your first video from this serie. They feel... well "native-speaker-suited" more than learner-suited.

Today, i decided that i want to finally start my japanese learning journey by using your genki series on youtube! I wanted to ask you though, should i start learning kanji while building the vocabulary and grammar sections or it would be better to wait until i start learning kanji?? ( unrelated but, i'm from Greece and all the lessons that are provided here are very expensive, so thanks for your great job!!!)

Radicals were not a big part in my Kanji learning but I started to focus on them a few months ago and it has really helped and made my Kanji learning so much quicker. I'm off the opinion now that it's by far the best to start with the radicals cause it gives you the parts that you're going to be encountering again and again. Learning new Kanji now is so much quicker cause so many of the new Kanji that I'm learning these days have nothing new in them, it's just the parts arranged in a different way. I have not studied where the parts are placed like you talk about in this video but I see that it's obviously an important thing to study, so this will be my next focus.

Yeah, I couldn't for the life of me remember a lot of kanji after some time. But knowing the parts I could connect a lof kanji, giving the parts of a kanji meaning. This way I could envision how a kanji got it's meaning. For example 'rest' I envision a person sitting in the shade of a tree 'resting'

Knowing about radicals and parts is super helpful. With that said, I DON'T actually think it is super important to memorize all of the things in this video. I think this is all just some interesting reference information. 😊

We're hoping to get it finished up by January, but I can't make any promises. We are considering making all the data available by November or December for those who don't want to wait for the official deck and want to create their own from it though. It will take some time, because we write all of our own examples, create our own order, draw pictures and get art done. We also record all the audio for both male and female. And it's just the two of us. 😅

Q: why Japanese immigration authorities don't give points for kanken results? A: cause that way there will be too many grown up dudes among elementary school students during the test

@@ToKiniAndy well, judging by my own experience of taking the Kanji Kentei level 1 i doubt that very many elementary school kids take it. in fact, by my observation i would say the median age is well above 40. and every time i go there i see almost the same people - elderly people for whom preparing for and taking kanken is a sort of a hobby they engage after retirement. one gentleman taking the test at the same location has been taking it for like decades... but is yet to pass it
