I really appreciated Mike’s Pearl of Wisdom. I’ve been concerned about getting “distracted” by new collections and not finishing my current interest. But it is about the journey and the joy of learning more.

Look at a thousand Classical owl tetradrachms and see how many have axis orientation like the noseless one you showed from the auction. This and the matter of the Seleucid AE 'bottlecaps' leads me to suggest a future educational feature introducing your viewers to the term 'fabric' as it applies to ancient coins. Your serrated segment was excellent. Overall, this was a great show.

I was going to ask if you had ever seen the Nobles sale. I can say I have bought some world and Australian proclamation coins from them over the years. If you buy online via their website you should get commission of 22% not the higher 27%. also 12% of the 22% should be GST (Sales tax). I have no idea if you can get that back via customers or via some other form. Australian 1 and 2 cent coins have been gone for 25+ years. We only round up/down here on cash transactions. All debit/credit/bank transfers are for the full amount. I'm sure US business can do this, as I"m sure when I used to live in the US the price of Gas was like $3.209 per gal. not $3.20.

Great to see Seleucid coinage on the show

I have recently bought 10 Roman republic coins and 2 have serrated edges. They really look unique. Including the griffin coin that you showed, although I believe mine was mis-struck as it has serrated edges all around, but is missing the “lpapi” under the griffin. 22:52

Great podcast again ! If you want to know what the estimate, or starting bid, is in various currencies, move the mouse cursor over the estimate, and you see the amount in EUR, US dollars. Cheers!

The serrated denarius was pretty cool. I don't know why they didn't bring it back in the empire.

Hello! Which coin is second from the right, next to the coin with an eagle, is it Alexander the Great?

Have y’all considered having your viewers submit a coin to review?

Not a bad idea. Thanks

Theyll probably be unattainable grail pieces that people will humblebrag about, or affordable ones that will be open to roasts. Sign me up.
