Certain answers; it is dishonest to speak a Noble Lie just to win followers to a philosophy. People are indoctrinated with conventional truths--- but who do they serve? Meditation is wonderful, and there are many forms of this practice. Some reveal truths, and most of these practices block other bad thoughts. This is surely healing---- but absolutely not a truth system.

Sure, get to know you, what you want and need. It really boils down to "live life": do the things that enable one's life to be successful at gaining energy/resources and reproducing. The only complex part is what comes out of the society we've built. In other words, get to the root and derive from there. The TV and radio are tools to study the society. A barometer, of sorts, to determine relations among competing factions.

@@Alex-qf2lb Bible speaks a lot about the how the human heart aka the mind is complex and cannot always be trusted. Especially when you live in a world where you see how mankind uses their free will each and everyday. It’s written within the same Bible you’re referring to how The Word of God is not to be misinterpreted and how they will be many who will misinterpret it to fit their own narratives, agendas, beliefs, etc. (I.e. Deut 4:2, 2 Timothy 3:16-17, Jeremiah 17:9) I once believed people like Manly P. Hall was had all the answers until you search into their backgrounds and find that they’re rooted in free masonry and the whole idea that we ourselves are “God” when that is so far from the truth. God was merciful enough to pull me away from such thinking as it will always lead one towards witchcraft and the dark arts. If that’s where you fall into, fine - I have no right to judge you given my own past but just know that God loves you and he has demonstrated it through his only son, Jesus Christ who bore the sins of mankind. If you desire truth - real truth - then seek Jesus and he will lead you to himself.

What dooms society is taking WEEKS old infants and giving them to facilities for 50 plus hours a week of their waking hours instead of supporting the mother to BE HER BEST SELF with federal maternity leave so she can raise and bond with them like EVERY other developed country. Put a rainbow on the side of the building and slap some paint on a sheet a paper from the child and modern day parents can happily gaslight themselves that their kids are getting their needs met by people that don’t actually love them and that have no ability to be their best self as they have NO skin in the game and next year they will move to the next set of humans never really attaching to anything consistently. Take an animal away from its mother too soon and watch the maladaptive behaviors come out years later, but when you see it in the behaviors of human children apparently everybody goes into cognitive dissonance and blames everything but the obvious.

Can you accept that even in some humans infinite wisdom we aren’t God and can’t control other humans or their experiences, and we are affected by all the others people behavior. belief systems like this reek of off loading internalized shame for justifying the unjustifiable , the ability to compartmentalize by using unconscious addictions like work and stock trading, avoidant tendencies, denial of the human experience, religious conditioning crafted into a spiritual bypass, and living a life of theory instead of practicing principles through service and empathy. @Utrechtborn did you write a masters thesis on manly p hall? No you didn't. The person I was replying to. I was asking his thoughts about manly p hall channeling the energy of lucifer. If you had written a masters thesis on him, maybe you'd know what I'm talking about. Since you don't know what I'm talking about, I'm not exactly curious on your thoughts about manly hall channeling lucifer. If you wanna do some research on manly p hall, and learn about what he said and believes regarding lucifer and then you wanna come back and give me your opinion on it, go for it. But you didn't do a masters thesis on the guy, so even then, your opinion about his beliefs regarding lucifer won't really matter that much to me.
@roberjohnsmith Жыл бұрын
@Utrechtborn my "implications" only seem veiled to someone who doesn't know very much about manly p hall. It's not really an implication. I own a 200 dollar book of his which is hard to get and costs real money, I used to be very interested in manly p hall and studied him a fair amount. And in this book (and other books as well), he documents and talks about how he channels the "seething energy of lucifer" as he calls it. So again, nothing about what I said was vague, non of it involved any implications. I asked a person who wrote a masters thesis a specific question. Just because you don't understand my question, doesn't make it vague or anything of the sort.

Dear Manley Palmer Hall, Thank you for your entertaining philosophy. Your reasoning mind’s approach is 100% correct, and would succeed, but for the dreadfully evil ‘human’ content-of-consciousness it seeks to overcome and withdraw from. This has been the cause of the human-problem, since it was initiated by the individual seeking to separate himself from the consequences, of sustaining the cause of the problem we inherit by parental-conditioning from our earthly parents, while being oblivious to the truth-of-love, in the abundance-of-life, made present and available in us, with which we are gifted to bless our worlds. In other words, we cannot perpetuate the sins of our earthly parents, by eating from the same trough-of-knowledge -- of good-and-evil fruit -- with impu-nity, because by eating the fruit - even if we throw away the core and its seeds, we sow the seeds of good-and-evil for the next generation by our example: “see, I didn’t die!” Oh, no? You’ve become a sepulchre-of-dead-men’s bones. “The path to enlightenment is not a destination” - YES - “but a momentary continuum of being who we are.” As we mature in stillness, and know the truth of our god-being, we then parent our thoughts and feelings with the heavenly truth-of-love, replenishing our world’s with abundant life from the ever-present kingdom of God’s benign dominion. The ’self’, demanding a ‘lifetime-of-commitment’ for ‘improvement’, is the usurper in denial of God, and that God has made each of us unique, and therefore perfect, in His likeness and image. It’s the One-Who-Dwells, our Inner-Being, who instructs the capacities of mind-and-heart we inhabit to, “Be still, and know that I am God.” Then the ‘still small voice’ is heard -- by mind-and-heart in unified stillness of radiant-agreement with the One-Who-Dwells - AS OF A TRUMPET! Loudly and sweetly clear.

I think this bleeds into “what is my purpose”, and how people can’t seem to answer that very well, “misusing the mind.” The video hints that intuition can solve this, and with enough fumbling in the dark you can find enlightenment. But combine everyone’s flawed rationale for self sabotage and proceeding on this “personal journey” without a guide, you’re guaranteed to run into scary monsters (debt, addictions, persecutions, grief). Certainly sitting in a room praying and avoiding the monsters hasn’t solved the problem either. At some point you gotta do something to find your meaning. I think what’s most frightening is by the time you learn your hard truths it’s already too late, the opportunities are gone and your body is failing. But don’t escape the pressure either, there is an answer somewhere.

Many have lost an understanding of what it means to be alive, a living being, they either don't know or have been confused by some "guru" who is telling them who they should be. Distracted from a natural life that is determined by meeting the essential needs. Live, do the things that enables one to continue living. Gain resources, and reproduce so life can continue on. Within the society, things get a bit more complex because there's rules and regulations - cultures. What are those for? Usually to promote a fair environment, one that has some measure of security for the people who share the same beliefs, who agree to form such a community for mutual benefit. Start with those basics. EG. What do I need? Food. Ok, so how will I get that without getting myself killed or incarcerated? Keep at this strategy until it is all figured out, and then that is one's purpose. It is only too late when one is being laid to rest. So it is important to adapt to that, being reasonable about what can be accomplished in whatever time one may have left. People gotta be proactive and put in the effort if they want to achieve their goals.

I would have loved to listen to a discussion between Manly Hall, Alan Watts, and Eckhart Tolle. That would be a triumvirate!

I know what i have to do but I'm paralysed by the endless possibilities, the volume of neglected obligations and as days, months, years pass me by feeling more helpless to even try doing anything about it, as if I've forgotten how or like my body refuses to listen

Perhaps pick off the easiest one first, and gain momentum from there. Every little step forward, counts. Oops, had a step back? The next step forward will fix that. Also, consider simplifying. Start with the basics, and then when those are secure, then it may make the next things easier to get.

On the topic of helping others: I have tried. Tried as though nothing else mattered. They fight me like a drowning person fighting their rescuer. They don't seem to be satisfied until I'm drowning along with them. They do everything they can to let me know that even though we will both drown, they'll drown last. After decades of this scenario repeating over and over... I've grown callous. Trying to help people that just want to bring me into the depths with them. The alternative is total isolation... Sucks. I don't like what I'm becoming, but it seems inevitable.

This message is so great and beautifully illustrated, but I do notice how KZbin isn't a symbol when "distractions" are shown at 6:30 😉

I agree with every word, save for the part about our bodies.... If we hold that consciousness is fundamental, then the body should adopt the state held by the mind, thus only requiring care that is in line with the beliefs and expectations of the manifesting consciousness in question. Therefore, the body should not degrade unless one expects that it will.
