Great show that is etched in my memory until the day i die. We watched as a family every week and it was a beautiful time growing up in the 60s.....

Loved this show. Much much older now, I still love it. Andy reminded me of my dad. Clever, gentle & he says what he means. Always w a bit of humor. I still have my dad. At nearly 100 years old, he hasn't changed a bit ❤

He could perhaps write individual letters, but I doubt he knew enough to write an entire limerick. There wasn't as much of an academic "push" back then, and many children wouldn't have begun to read and write until at least 6 or 7.
