This shows that there was the war between Lucifers rebellion and Heaven did happen in the Hazbin universe. Azazel was also one of Lucifers commanders in his rebellion of the 1/3 of heaven that joined Lucifer to overthrow god. I know their will be mention of the war at some point in the show probably when azazel or any other fallen angel appears but that will probably in season 3. It would be interesting to see how Charlie learns that their was more to the story of Lucifers fall than what was said in that book she was given

Not really. All of the ars goetia are fallen angels in real life, but within the hazbin universe they are hellborn demons, it might be the same case for Azazel. And even if it's not, that doesn't mean there was a war. Lucifer was cast out for giving Eve the forbidden fruit, there is no indication that he did anything else. It's not impossible, but it seems highly unlikely.

That's a definite possibility. What's interesting is that Azazel was considered a genius by ancient standards, and part of the sinful defecting angel group known as The Watchers between the era of Adam and Noah. Unlike his more powerful main leader of the Watchers, Samyaza, Azazel was weak of body but his knowledge was extreme. He taught humans forbidden knowledge like weapon making, tactics, and even cosmetics. He's sort of considered a dark Prometheus, and was even chained up like him by Archangel Raphael in some legends, although most stories say he was thrown in an abyss by him He's considered 'the scapegoat of evil' or 'to whom all of humanity's sin's are ascribed to'. Considering Hazbin Hotel is working on the theme of more then one side to the story, I can see uncle Azazel partially influential in teaching Charlie out of the box thinking.

He stood out not because he was one of the powerful angels, but he was one of the smartest IQ wise. Eventually, God banished him to Earth. However, he was banished between the era of Adam and Noah, and he wasnt alone for long. Cause the Watchers. Samyaza and his group of angels called the Watchers were originally meant to just observe humanity, but they decided to have, well, orgies with humans. Samyaza was a real piece of work. Very powerful and hedonistic. Then Azazel arrived on earth. While he at first he didnt like humans, he eventually saw the appeal. The fallen angel joined the corrupted angels and rose through their ranks so fast that while Samyaza kept his rank as Leader of Watchers, all the other angels called him Chieftan. At times people didnt know who was the real leader. He saw very odd. He saw potential in humans. He saw their fleshy bodies and thought 'improvements'. If a woman wasnt pretty enough naked, he invented dresses and cosmetics. If a man wasnt strong enough, he invented weapons more advanced then the simple object Cain used. He also came up with early war tactics. He was basically a dark Prometheus. However the hedonism and increased violence was one of the triggers of the Flood. During the flood, a lot of the watchers were culled, and the remaining including Azazel were given a long sentence to make up for their misdeeds or be punished for eternity.

One interesting thing is that while Belphegor appears in Charlie's contact list Asmodeus & Beelzebub do not, then again it is possible that they appear under their prefered nicknames among acquaintances Queen Bee and Ozzie.

It is plausable that Belphagore is on Charlie's call list because she functions as a personal health care provider for Hell's royal family. Since Belphagore is more likely to appear in Helluva not Hazbin if any medical assistance from the Sloth is needed then someone could be dispatched to Pride as a house call. I often think of Abaddon as doctor figure if he was to be introduced into the series. As in the Book of Revelation he is the fifth punishment brought about during the tribulation and arrives with an army of locust that sting those who are not marked under Gods protection, so they suffer in agony for five months.

I have a theory that half of the Deadly Sins, Charlie and Lucifer are on better terms with. While the other half are very negative and toxic influences. Lucifer and Charlie could have more positive relationships with Asmodeus, Beelzebub, and Belphegor while Mammon, Satan, and presumably Leviathan are more toxic than it implies.

My headcanon is that Azazel will be the Hellaverse’s adaptation of Zoophobia’s Lucifer, allowing Damian to be adapted into the show as well.

We do know that Charlie occasionally stands in for her father. So I'm going to venture a guess that Charlie's actual social life is limited to just those at her hotel, but she's also filled her phone with the numbers of anyone she could possibly fathom having any kind of business to do with Lucifer and/or Lilith just to be on the safe side. The only detail that might imply this are the graphics. She has actual photos of Angel and the Egg Bois and used a stand-in for Lucifer (I'm going to venture a guess the Lucifer duck was a gift to her and she took the photo of it herself). But the rest are just the default graphic, which is the first two letters of their name. The implication is that, while she has been distant from her father yet still cared enough about him to personalize the contact, she does not feel that way about any of the others, possibly implying that she entered them all into her contacts all at once, not ever expecting it to be relevant -- not to ever need to call them nor receive a call, but not discounting the possibility altogether and wanting to be prepared just in case.

She's the princess of Hell. Of course she's going to have contact information for all of the important people in Hell, whether she personally knows them or not. I'm of the head-canon that the sibs are like aunts and uncles to her, but in case of a Hell-wide emergency, she'd NEED to be able to contact all the heavy-hitters for damage control and recovery networking, and with the relationship with Heaven being so tedious, those contacts would be even more important.

Seeing as how Lucifer seems to draw some natural respect from the sins, I'm not too surprised that Charlie would have their contacts in some way or fashion. Even though Mammon does often conflict with Lu Lu World, he still tries to appear as if he doesn't. If you read multiple signs and the poster the fizzie bot at Loo loo land holds up, Mammon actively attempts to dismiss the fact he'd ever profit off his "friend and ruler Lucifer's park Lu Lu World." Lucifer is still relatively active, only becoming less so after Lillith left and Charlie stopped calling. So whether it be because he brought charlie to see them, or because they want to try to get "in" with Lucifer, it's a safe bet to say Charlie would at least be acquainted with the Sins.

Well, they obviously wouldn't have soul contracts, so probably not in the literal sense. But I would venture a guess that there are plenty of winner angels whose accomplishments were far more notable than is the norm and who have an additional kind of celebrity status because of it. Not someone who LITERALLY commands other winner angels, but someone who has other angels constantly following their lead just by example. Somebody like Albert Einstein or Abraham Lincoln, for example, would be able to weigh in on certain matters with some authority even though, on paper, they don't have any.

Fallen angels in the show other than Lucifer would be very interesting, especially in how they viewed him and Charlie, but there's another thing on my mind, a certain demon's name we don't see: Charlie doesn't seem to have Asmodeus' number, as it's not listed under "A", she could have him listed as Ozzie, but that doesn't really fit with her using the proper names of the other Ars Goetia/sins on her phone. What gives? He's a sin and ruler of Lust, it'd be strange if she didn't have his number just for the sake of networking. As for why some names are there: Amon is seemigly the demon of life and reproduction (at least according to Theresa Bane, this isn't present in other works that I've found), which is quite interesting if Charlie ever wants a kid with Vaggie. But Amon is also stated in the Lesser key of Solomon, Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and in Dictionaire Infernal to be a reconciliator between friends (and foes), which is something Charlie would be VERY interested in, same with his ability to tell of all thigs past and to come. Barbatos: A duke isn't that low on the totempole and shares Amons abilities (reconciliator, historian and seer) but reconciles between friends and those who hold power, which is also quite useful for Charlie as she starts to juggle with the leading overlords of Hell (no matter how friendly they are, none of the ones seen are her friends, and she best remember that).

One thing I would like to see being discussed is Emily. Many have theorized is Emily will become a fallen angel, especially after what Sera mentioned to her after the court hearing in Heaven. Emily becoming a fallen angel honestly reminds me of the character Flonne from Disgaea (one of my favorite video games) (Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen or played Disgaea) In Disgaea Hour Of Darkness, Flonne is an angel and depending on which ending you get, she becomes a Fallen Angel and is in that form for most of her appearances throughout the series. However, in Disgaea Infinite, Flonne plans to go back and become an angel and in Disgaea 4 Flonne becomes an Archangel. I'm not wondering if something like this could potentially happen to Emily. However, me personally I would prefer it if that DIDN'T happen, as I think it's a better idea that Emily, along with Sir Pentious and Molly, are allies from Heaven for Charlie and the others. Maybe characters like Lute and Sera can become fallen angels instead and Emily just takes charge in Heaven instead.
