My problem with a lot of slow burns is that, a lot of times, you can tell that the only reason the main couple hasn’t gotten together yet is because the author is trying to delay it as much as possible, because the series will probably end once it happens. In The Dangers in My Heart however, the slow burn instead feels more like a natural progression of their relationship. Also, the story does not end after they get together, which is another reason why the author didn’t have to drag them getting to that part out. For real tho every episode of season 2 addressed a different aspect of their relationship and developed it and so every episode as Yamada even said set the foundation of their relationship so when it took off it was rewarding and was basically the cherry on top to what was already a beautiful sundae

I think it's gonna be hard for me to watch another slow burn romance anime after watching dangers in my heart cause man this show just does it so well and really makes me look back at how painfully dragged out other slow burns are. Dangers in my heart knows it's not about the destination but the journey ichikawa and yamada go through that makes every episode a joy to watch. It doesn't force misunderstandings that last til like the final episode where things get cleared up, it just makes ichikawa and yamada stay honest with one another and you get to enjoy viewing their intimacy together. I was skeptical hearing it was "peak romance" but man I'm glad they weren't wrong cause dangers in my heart from start to finish kept me wanting more.

the part of the show that surprised me was how popular it was, om the site i watch stuff on whenever a new ep dropped it would climb to the top 3 on the chart every single time. it got the meathead action fans invested and thats something you just dont see often or ever

4:26 Kinda rare hearing someone say komi and tadano in these videos due to KCC haven't gotten much popularity these days since it's release back in 2021 But besides my point I really like ichikawa and yamada as couple they remind me so much of komi and tadano when I first started watching KCC Both are my favorite manga and anime series to this day because both series dives into character growth One deals with social anxiety and one deals with insecurities and self-loathing Pretty much the reason why I love both equally (though I'm a bit bias on KCC lol) I relate to komi a bit cause it's not easy dealing with social anxiety especially on your own all she wanted was friends but she couldn't make any due to her status and well social anxiety of course As for ichikawa he's insecure of course about himself he is scared of showing who he truly is to people because he wants to protect himself from getting hurt which is why he became like that during episodes 1-3 But what I find similar between the two is that they had a person that helped them and changed them and become better people because of them and seeing the world in a whole new way Komi has tadano who offered himself to be her first friend and willing to help her gain the other 99 she wants to achieve And ichikawa has yamada who helped ichikawa see the world differently he used to see it in black and white but now it's full of color because of her who helped him realize things about himself and slowly but surely came out of his shell that he was once scared of coming out of to wanting to open up more and more all thanks to yamada We don't get much of these kinds of dynamics between the main hero and heroin of romcom stories Sure a lot of people just watch romance anime for the romance of course but we should also be able to feel related to the main cast of the story itself Like we know what they are going through and sometimes it makes you realize things about yourself aswell and makes you wanna grow too

i mean the romance always came across as obsessive, it doesn't help that most of the story Yamada had yandere moments, but these characters unfortunately never had a full range of emotions to them or goals they need to follow so overall i think this series gets a 3 out of 5

A huge range of emotions is shown between both characters. Yamada gets jealous at times sure but that isn't a yandere moment. Being jealous at times is part of the relationship and in Yamadas case (at least for now) is more so used for a gag than anything else.

Firstly you should understand that character in this show are middle schooler so the way they act maybe can make u cringe but it's realistic. You should watch until eps 6 and if u still feels it's cringe then u can drop it.

Only those who watch the first episode with prejudice may not understand what that cringe-like beginning actually hides, which is done only to introduce the character. You are so used to phoned stories that you stop at first appearances.
