I think the whole anti-cannibalism mentality in evrima rn stems from the lack of global chat Without the ability to communicate with every player on a server at any given time, the only people players can complain to when they get cannibalised, is their own species, which helps the mentality circulate

Im on the fence about canni deino, on one hand crocodilians normally are gregarious to an extent in reality and often DO just sit around doing nothing with eachother all day, with the occasional smaller one being snapped up. Like I don't think a "IM THE ONLY BIG DEINO IN THESE PARTS" playstyle the devs want is any better/worse than deinos sitting around like this and chilling on the otherhand seeing like more than 5 grown deino's in one place is agonizing and balance wise it's worse. And seeing people use cannibal as like an insult is laughable as that's HOW crocodilians/gators are and it's what the devs intend

I usually don’t cani as a dieno, considering I could just leave for a less populated area, get s diet from scavenging, hunting, eating hearts, or just eating bones which give all diet. If I wanted S diet, I’d just do one of those things, as for being cani, it only jeopardizes my dieno because others would jump me if they saw I was cani. Plus, why go through the risk when you could easily get S diet elsewhere? I don’t think cani crocks should stop, it’s definitely good crowd control, however I’d rather keep my dieno life safe and slow.

Once we get some more competition in the water predator wise i think that'll fix it. As right now the deinos dont have to share food with anything especially the mounds of fish they can just grow off of.

When 10+ gators are together people aren't gonna deathmatch it. That's not unrealistic or unexpected either. it's when there's significantly smaller numbers gators fight. Crocs are opportunists and it's reflected very well in their gameplay.

Cannibalism is annoying but necessary right now. They need to add spino or sucho to the game to try to help fix this problem. There is nothing in the game that is an actual threat to a smart deno except another deno.

i think the isle should add a debuff like in BoB for being in such a huge group, dinos should take significant hunger drainage as they're in the vicinity of more than 10 of their own species(this should be easier in the new map since there is a lot more places for people to go to). Also i think there should be a debuff if you eat too much of your own species to stop the over cannibalizations or something more useful. Most of the time in this game players mixpack and just kill a bunch of people for fun. Which i dont think can be stopped tbh which is the most sucky in the game. I kinda get mixpacking for food but just killing for fun is just shitty. What would you suggest fixing these problems or should they even be fixed?

deinos aren’t supposed to be all buddy buddy, it’s literally in your diet system, and one of the diets you mainly would want for a deino. It’s funny how it’s labeled as canni, but it’s in YOUR diet. 😭😂

one of the core issues with this game is the playerbase. I don't know what the solution to it is unless behavior is forced through debuffs and the like. Nice grab with that carno by the way, impressive.

tbh, i think that many deino players actually are cannibals. just that once a canni starts to attack the whole area of deinos attack that one cannibal deino. irl if a crocodile turns cannibal the rest of them just watches. in the isle thats not the case. if one deino suddenly gets up and attacking another deino, the rest of the "gang" feels entitled to help that one guy who getting cannied. so i think the main problem is that people is simply caring too much about someone they just met. cannibalism would probably happen more frequent if people didnt care so much about their random friend they just met

The Devs give little to no shits about the game's balance they hate getting any kind of legit balancing ideas because it hurts their fragile egos. They rather listen to the children of the game about how things should be instead of legit concerns from actual mature players, all I have to say is R.I.P to this game if they don't get wise and also do something about the hackers.

well they nerfed dryo. one of the weakest if not the weakest dinosaur in the game. only that tells us how shit they are at balancing the game. worst part about the dryo situation is that to my understandings, nobody asked for a dryo change

Weirdly enough I think BoB, as cancerous as that game is, has become more fun than the Isle for me. I used to hate it with the Kijus and having to log off when certain people logged on because those people would go out of their way to track you down and kill you so they could remain the largest. Megaherds on official at least have been all but banned, and killing and cannibalism is encouraged by the trials and hunt points system. I can, and have, grab a Para and go around on-sighting carnivores and other herbivores and rarely does someone bitch at me. Is the balancing atrocious? Yes. But somehow, in a really strange way, its not as bad as the isles current state. Which sucks. Because I don't want to like BoB and I don't want it to be my go-to dino game but, it is. PoT Has the same carebearing issue the isle has.
