I wish I watched this video before my trip to Florence last year ! But I’m glad I watched it and I might visit this year too , our apartment was near to the All’antico Vinaio and we never tried it because I’m vegetarian and my friends didn’t want to stand on that crazy long line , but every time we pass by it it was always a loooooooong line 😅 and people was on the line with some drinks and snacks enjoying it while waiting for their turn to order !

Someone below asked for more recommendations. I've been there once, here goes: Dante's house, Dante's church from ~1100 AD, Michelangelo's David (needs tickets and waiting in line), the copy of David in the Piazza, the Palazzo; then there's the Uffizi, an unbelievable art museum featuring spectacular architecture (a thousand items - the one I remember vividly was the bust of Julius Caesar, commissioned by Julius himself), two other churches: Maria Novella by the train station (a great way to get there), and Santa Croce (where Galileo is buried). Lastly the Ponte Vecchio, famed for its gold merchants.

These guys are recommending some of the most expensive places in Florence!!! I'm a British expatriate who has lived here for 31 years, and I know. Still, if you're wealthy, why not go for it, but don't kid yourself that you're experiencing Florence.

As with many touristy places in Europe the good places can be expensive but you get what you pay for😉 if one is going to venture tartar then make then most of it!

@@patrickglennon7058 Firstly, to have more of a personal experience with people who live locally. The people in Italy were amazing and were also very helpful when they saw that you were trying to actually speak/learn the language, but it would have been nice to have some extra practice in a more personal setting. And second, because the Air B&Bs can be more cost effective. After we had already booked our hotels (ranging from $200 to $280 per night) we were able to find B&Bs for around $100 a night. Obviously its all about personal preference but that's not to say anything was wrong with the hotels either. Our hotel staff was also very helpful and courteous so our experience was still top notch.

I've been to la grotta guelfa twice, and just tried i'brindellone for lunch, it was amaaaaaziiiing! My stay in Florence was just incredible, and i tried your recommandations thanks :) But I just wanted to point out if you go shopping, to beware of scams concerning sellers of bags : I bought a backpack thinking it was leather, and when I got back to my air bnb I realized it was not. I went back to complain and ask for real leather, and the guy gave me another bag swearing it was leather. It clearly was not.

Is it worth renting a car? How are the parking spaces? If i rent a vespa, any risk of it being stolen?

RE: renting a car, not needed unless you plan on going outside of florence, then it's recommended. Or hire a driver to take you to wineries. re: Renting a vespa, like any city you need to take precautions but it's not a high risk city. 😀👍
