I've always liked that the Antiquarian is a cultist, a diviner but mostly importantly...a coward. They stab people in the back for power, all of their protective abilities in-game throw their friends under the bus to protect themselves, and they are best placed at the back of the party, where they can hide better. It's great storytelling combined with how the class works.

I love when gameplay aligns with story and each ability having a reason they do it or know it. Another good example is the Hellion being unable to move backwards due to wanting a warrior's death or how the Leper has such high health due to him having his pain receptors and nerves dulled from leprosy.

So I don't know if this is confirmed or not, but I think I understand Anti's Crimson Court trinkets. The Master's Essence: Pretty self-explanatory, it's the censer or incense that her (former) master used, now hers. Two of Three: Not sure of the significance of the physical object, but I believe it represents two human sacrifices out of the three required. Required for what, I do not know.

The Antiquarian. The Herald of riches, the giver of Dodge, The Bullshit Party wide stress and blight in the Circus. With a decent dodge and the ability to get fat stacks of gold, The Antiquarian is the best choice to pay off your loan to buy food and supplies for the next run, sacrificing any reliable offensive attacks (apart from festering vapors.) Anti makes up for it with the one skill that will always be equipped... The Dodge Boost Smoke. Or Invigorating Vapors if you're basic. Any skill that increases dodge is welcome in a game where an Incantation can Nae nae your highwayman faster than you can say "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" And making sure your heroes dodge more than an Average dodge build in Payday 2. All in all, Anti isn't really used as a Clickity Clack her attacks go whack but serves as a decent backline support and if you're in the shitter a good enough healer.
