@@Mamabaynes2564 Im Elijah. God put me "asleep" for 19 years. 19 years of depression hell. Im not sure if coming out is more painful or going in was. I woke up in June of 2021. But I also currently have arthritis, constant UTIs for no reason as I am not sexually active, fibromyalgoa, etc. We know those are all lies. Soon disability and disease will no longer exist. My destiny is to ushet in Jesus!!!

I am in need of prayer. I recently received news that endometrial cancer has returned. It is a 3.5 centimeters small mass near my hip bone. The good news the mass is slow growing and not metastatic. The doctor reassured me with all new discoveries in medicine this is controllable. I know God accompanied me the first time around. I felt His presence, peace, rest, love, mercy and compassion. I am praying for God to strengthen me this time around. I need some prayers as well as my family. Thank you so much, Faith for sharing your joy and love of God. 🥰😊

Just yesterday, my pastor taught us that the PURPOSE of Jesus’ coming was to bring peace between us and God; however the EFFECT of His coming was to bring conflict between us and the culture. As Christians, as we live a life for Jesus, we will conflict with our culture, and because our culture is becoming more and more depraved and farther from God, that conflict will become greater. Even those who don’t tend toward depression and anxiety will find this hard to deal with. Your teaching is excellent, Faith; as we fix our eyes on the things that are good and pure, the peace of God will fill us and help us cope with our conflicts.

I struggle with major depression and anxiety along with a laundry list of Dx. It all started when I was 16 in 1984. I got pregnant and my parents FORCED me to relinquish my beautiful daughter to adoption. I cant begin to inform you on a First Parents pain/agony! I wanted/want my daughter!! So it has been almost 38 yrs that my baby was taken from me. I need prayers desperately to rid me of this agony. Thank you for your prayers!!

The Thompson Chain Reference is AMAZING! Aside from it's iconic reference system, at the back of the Bible, there are lots and lots of topics, illustrations, graphs, outlines and many more. It was first published, 1908. Now, it's originally in KJV I believe but the rights to TCR is now with Zondervan. They recently made it available in other English translations: NIV, NKJV, NASB and ESV.

I have been trying to renew my faith I was lost and than found and some how I got lost again ! I am 60 and it's been 10 years since I have been to church, I watch church online and I know I need what I had ten years ago the fellowship and Wednesday bible studies ! Great lesson, Faith!! Don't forget Historical context as well: where Paul was writing this letter from was from a Roman prison. When he was writing it was in the decade of the 60's. He was an older man. The main theme of Philippians is JOY!! In fact the word 'joy" or "rejoice" is mentioned (depending on which Bible translation you are using) at least 10 times. I am a 58 year old single, Christian woman. I thank God that I did not have to suffer as the Apostle Paul did in a decrepit Roman prison in ancient Rome, (probably chained to a guard!) I can simply rejoice that I live in the here and now in a comfortable American suburb. I am not rich at all, but yet just as you pointed out, verse 8 is key: Only we can change our thinking. Change our thinking leads to changing our actions leads to changing what we say and our entire demeanor. Also, realize that verse 4 is a command: "Rejoice in the Lord, Always and I say it again Rejoice!!" Hey if the Apostle Paul can rejoice as an older man, living in an ancient prison guarded by a ruthless Roman guard (I realize I am going on...) Why can't we Americans have a joyful life???!!! A great place to find commentaries, dictionaries, etc. are thrift stores. I found Strong's Concise Concordance and Vine's Concise Dictionary at Goodwill. They have a LOT of Christian books there. You'll have to wade through a lot of junk, but you'll definitely find some gold in those shelves.

I thought I had a chance at a job but it was not meant to be I guess... it paid less than what I have and would require to move to an expensive city....I feel so stuck. In life. Eunuchs made that way by others were abused (it doesn't happen to everyone that is abused). Those that choose to live like Eunuchs FOR THE SAKE OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN are bisexual people that choose partners of the same sex characteristics but opposite in regards to gender. Notice, God PREFERS for people to be in LGBT relationships. Eunuchs are same sex couples. One partner is transgender. Transgender is when someone is born with a gender opposite the sex characteristics normally associated with that gender. God made us male or female, determined by gender, located in the brain. Your gender is located in your brain and determined at birth. I have an identical twin sister that is female in gender. I am male in gender. I am Elijah of Malachi 4:5-6 and that means any discrepancies in the bible are ultimately decided by me. Plus, it states in Deuteronomy that nobody was castrated back then. And that doesn't make sense anyhow. No one is born castrated and no one is born making the decision to be celibate. But, that is what God wanted the lying preachers to think so they wouldn't take it out of the bible. Intersex people still have one gender or another because gender is located in your brain. And Acts 3:22-23 says it will come to pass that anyone that fails to listen to me will be utterly destroyed from among the people. So anyone that says different than this won't be here much longer. It's everyone's choice. Anyone teaching the LIE of monetary tithing or getting paid in any way to minister will also die with the wicked. Peter 2:9 says we are ALL ministers . . . . Jesus was transgender and will return as a woman..... Remember, Malachi 3:8-12 is talking to the thieving church leaders. It's the answer to end Covid and every major church around the world has known this since August of 2020 but they LOVE MONEY so much, they INTENTIONALLY CHOSE to kill everyone instead of returning it. I don’t think I have ever read it in the way that this was meant for encouragement for sisters and brothers (addresses mainly women who contend for the gospel alongside Paul and other men.) Paul highlighted a few important people, the majority of the people mentioned were women that needed to be encouraged. (I had to look it up as well to understand the intentionality behind this) It is so often left out in the context of the following verses but just as important for the passage of Philippians to make sense. Thank you for sharing as well and for breaking it down too where the focus of the passage is and how that shapes our walk with Christ!
