Yea! I’ve tinkered with it a bit. I’m finding it GREATLY depends on the game. HL Alyx and Robo red all need a full squeeze from 0 to 100 for the hammer to drop. So when I add something it starts the trigger at like 89% and messes with firing. Something else wild is I’m thinking the give on the triggers is stating to flex a bit after more use. Zombieland:Headshot Fever doesn’t seem to have the same trigger delay as HL: Alyx. I guess this is why the more expensive option from Pro Tube has settings to adjust and all that

Some kind of quick release and holster to put the gunstock in could help. It should only let you take it off into the holster to protect it but it might help with immersion. The trigger issue could be fixed with a Glock style trigger safety that has a kinda secondary trigger lever in the middle, that would allow the stocks trigger to contact the regular one before each actually fire, and it could have a small set screw like match triggers have to dial in that contact to help with syncing them

@TheConstruct_VR5 ай бұрын
@@zhuliks yeah I’m tempted to try putting a spacer behind the trigger. Everything I tried hasn’t been quite right. The challenge is that that quest controller needs a full pull. Good haptics are great for immersion
@TheConstruct_VR5 ай бұрын
Yes! I know people look at these and think they’re weird or whatever but after taking them off I actually MISSED the immersion, the gun felt too light without it. It certainly adds to the experience
@henryonyemaobi77812 ай бұрын
Hello, Ja rule, haha. Thanks. You didn't cover one thing: Does it still fire the haptic when the clip is empty? I see that might be another issue.

The sound it makes kinda kills it for me. I would still hear that over the game, and it would pull me from the immersion more than it would give me. So I don't feel it would be worth it for me.

Got mixed feelings about that thing. And what's up with rifles in games? How does it feel to hold weapon with hands with those things?
@TheConstruct_VR5 ай бұрын
Yeah this is why I pointed out HLA and Robo Recall. I saw someone use just one on the right hand and then rest that controller on the other hand … kind of like a fake rifle stock. I feel like in Pavlov or zero caliber or something it would be almost too much shaking and noise. The feedback does ever so slightly impact your ability to keep steady aim . So I wouldn’t recommend for competitive play

@@businesscompanyvr4788 🏆 you win! You were the first to ask. I wondered if anyone would notice hahah. I guess anyone could just attach a GoPro to the front of their quest. I am surprised by the creation of a new circle in game pads, it was solved a long time ago and people creating a game gun should have already taken this into account, i.e. a shortened shot like in a pad, for example, an edge or scaf pad
@TheConstruct_VR5 ай бұрын
Yeah it was a bit surprising for me too. What I’m finding is that it’s varies from game to game HL:Alyx needs a fulll trigger pull, but Zombie Land : Headshot fever does not. So it feels perfect in some games. There’s no adjustment or software for these so I feel like they had to go for the most reasonable timing.
@Blujustice5 ай бұрын
That's actually not true, the pressure on the trigger for quest 3 is a secondary option for games that don't even utilize it yet. in all games I play you DO NOT need to squeeze the quest 3 triggers all the way for any weapon to fire, that was actually stated in a quest 3 tech interview.
@TheConstruct_VR5 ай бұрын
@@Blujustice this just from what I observed while playing HL Alyx. I did notice that it varied from game to game. It may not need a full squeeze for all games But you can clearly see this happening in the test. But this could be specific to HL Alyx and its mapping to the quest controller. Not a limitation of the controller itself
@Blujustice5 ай бұрын
@TheConstruct_VR oh no you're absolutely right on your assessment of the hapic triggers for sure. I clearly see the gap and was thinking the same idea would work for the triggers as you suggested would work for the slide slamming into the plasitc of every shot, and half life Alex is literally the only VR game that uses that full trigger feature like squeezing the cans in game when picking them up. Other games it's usually just half of a trigger squeeze to fire off anything. Awesome video though my friend keep it up!
