I really hope that they get back into doing podcasts. I remember when John Harrigan was in an interview with Joel Richardson about 8 years ago about his book The Gospel of Christ Crucified. I bought his book shortly after this. I highly recommend this book as it provides the basis for the apocalyptic Gospel. Confronts the problem with realized eschatology and examines those passages often used by those in the Amillenial/Postmillennial camp.

I really really would like to get John Harrigan to harp on Doug Wilson, who embraces a realized eschatology, to a full debate. THIS really needs to happen!

Great podcast. Pretty deep stuff. It has me researching more on history I didn't know and to get a better understanding of things. The reason why I love FFOZ.

I don't understand why there has to be a separation between Jewish election and realized eschatology... Wasn't Jerusalem destroyed in 70 ad, and what exactly is Yeshua talking about when He says "the times of the gentiles" in Luke 21?

Jewish election is eternal, but realized eschatology suggests the kingdom has started in some real sense without them. The implication is the kingdom can happen with the church but without the Jewish people, which overturns the prophetic promises given to Israel about the kingdom. The “times of the Gentiles” refers to Jerusalem’s subjugation under Gentile power and the exile of the Jewish people, not to be confused with Paul's "fullness of the Gentiles" from Romans 11:25. If the kingdom initiated and has been ongoing during the despair of the destruction of Jerusalem and thousands of years of Jewish exile, we want our money back.

@@firstfruitsofzion I see. So the video is more speaking against a fully realized eschatology as opposed to a partial preterist position that would say just some of the events prophesied occurred, but wouldn't go so far as to say the kingdom is here in it's fullness

@@davidw3307, that is a good question, but there are a lot of loaded terms in it. Both John and FFOZ definitively reject realized eschatology, and neither of us would contend that the kingdom has begun. For specific answers on eschatology, you would need to reach out to our theological support team: ffoz.org/contact

Well, I thought when I read the title of the podcast I was reading something from X-Men.
