I travelled to Dallas for the April 2024 eclipse! I was quite cloudy until 20 min before totality, it cleared off seemingly because the moon’s approaching shadow cooled the atmosphere just enough to reduce lofting of moisture air. Unforgettable and I got some decent images. Great video!🎉 even saw sidewalk snakes.. the weird shimmering patterns on the ground caused by the slit-like shape of the sun just before totality (and just after even more so!) (Shadow bands)! And the bright red flares and prominences like a ruby ring!

My brother and I had a Plan B to chase the eclipse, either going to Cleveland, OH or Buffalo, NY but we were concerned about being stuck in traffic. So we decided to stay put in Erie, and I'm glad it worked out!

Hi Kwasi, On April 4th I flew down from London Uk to my cousin home in San Antonio Texas, I took my Starwatcher adventurer GTI mount, a Canon 600D camera and my 70-200mm Canon lens with a solar filter. Testing the rig set on the following day with great , the Starwatcher GTI mount track the sun well . Sadly the forecast for April 8th 8th, Eclipse day was cloudy, but I did a video with cell phone on a tripod. It came out great , I enjoyed your video Kwasi , thanks for sharing 😊

My parents were able to see a partial eclipse for 2024 but now they want to experience a total eclipse. We're thinking about either visiting Spain in 2026 or Egypt in 2027.

Great video, and as you say, it's even better with loved ones, living in England we didn't get to see this one but there are two in Spain 2026 and 2027, will travel for the one in 27, the one in 26 is at sunset and will be difficult to see.
