Part of it was inspired by the Ultraman series of title cards. Cause it looks like these guys are pulling from Ultraman, Kamen Rider, and the 60s Batman TV series.

Well no, In fact there wasn't a pilot to begin with cause they only filmed the opening and ending bits as the middle portion was just "Place Show Here" as a sign to buy the show for future content, As some might know Fox Kids was gonna buy the show but Disney (the original pilot holders) bought Fox and the plan didn't go through

dr. rock was in this pilot. travis left in 1998 and ricky didn't join until about 2005 or 2006
