Once again, we find that the moral of the story isn't "Don't play both sides", it's "Don't *get caught* playing both sides". 😀

It would’ve been awesome to have an ARC Trooper game that can compare to the Clone Commandos
@Lawrence_Talbot Жыл бұрын
Well ARCs work solo so you’d be doing an entire lone wolf style game. So you go from a squad based fps to more of a metal gear or splinter cell style of game. However, you could have it based off the Null ARCs who actually worked together as well as separate to pull of joint strike missions. That would be pretty cool. Could rotate between the different ARCs to pull off specific objectives or see how a mission unfolds from different points of view, where 3 or 4 different events occur simultaneously. Like the team go into a droid factory and 1 one ARC dismantles the factory proper, 1 hits the starship port so no one can get away, and the third is assassinates there separatist in charge or factory chief

Would be cool to see it in a similar vein to battlefields war stories like dropping into different battles with different endings to these mini campaigns
@matluc_productions4031 Жыл бұрын
Even tho it’s before the Clone Wars, the closest we got to that was Star Wars Bounty Hunter. Considering the ARCs were trained to fight just like Jango Fett, we can pretty much imagine what it was like thru the game. I’m rather disappointed Lucasarts never really saw the brilliance of Republic Commando. We could’ve gotten similar games with the Null ARCs or even the regular Clone troopers. What could’ve been. Smh.

I feel they missed a lot of opportunities there. They coul easily have done an ARC trooper game, where you could either work mostly solo, or as a team. Give that ARCs had leeway and the authority to do basically whatever was needed. Maybe have you do a lot of high value assassinations and scouting.

@@alexhudson277 so true. Slim chance they’ll do it now tho given Disney’s disastrous handling of the franchise rn.

One heck of a way to go. And in the end, both the Republic and CIS were duped by those "droids" which really weren't droids.

In the clone wars, Anakin posed as a slave owner so I’d say it’s plausible

@Tyrone-v2r Жыл бұрын
@@TheLiamsterit's absolutely plausible, that's why the OP said something it doesn't sound like something they SHOULD do. Anakin and Obi-Wan along with many other Jedi committed war crimes during the Clone Wars and hundreds of thousands (conservative estimate and depending on cannon or EU) of civilians were killed when the rebel alliance took out the Death Stars. So it's definitely plausible but still something that they shouldn't have done. The Death Stars are exceptions to a whole lot of rules because they couldn't have possibly evacuated the civilians onboard before destroying the bases. That's like trying to evacuate Washington DC without letting the US Federal Government catch you in the act. It's like the trolley dilemma on an interstellar scale.

8:20 Maybe it would have been better to just let them continue and let the seps deal with that nonsense. I mean it would suck for the eels but if the separatist were investing in droids that don't actually work, that could help. Oligarchs man. They definitely know how to screw over a military industrial complex.

3:15-3:18: Okay, I guess I wasn't the first one to have someone kill Republic forces with a person who uses tentacles as weapons in my fanfics, these JK Droids were, but at my character actually worked and did the job well, while these things couldn't because the five families were trying to scam both sides. Also, nice to see and hear about a mission/battle where the Republic did good for people, and unlike the Battle of Khorn where they also did good, no future evil Imperial took credit for the operations.

Not as surprisingly good as The Courtship Princess Leia in my opinion, but it sure felt more important compared to The Truce at Bakura. Will still deem the novel as essential.
