I work for a rural municipality and concerning what Paul mentioned about s.619 of the Municipal Government Act, why not lobby the province so that the AUC must have regard or follow Municipal district's land plans, or the use of bonds for remediation, or tax bonds. It sounds like RMA is echoing the complaints of its members (AKA the same municipalities who are complaining about renewable projects) without providing policy solutions.

That’s the problem Ryan, you’re concerned with the optics. Alberta has been a leader in renewable energy. What has that done for us? You hear all the other Canadians singing our praises? Time to stop worrying about what others think and start thinking about Albertans. We need a balance approach.

The problem is the Oil industry has NO DESIRE TO DIVERSIFY. They have no desire to clean up their $260 billion in liabilities dotting FARM LAND unless they are forced to clean their ROOM. I notice how u present no facts but your opinions. How much $ do u make from Oil Kev?

So why did the industry have to be shut down completely that makes no sense at all. And yet the oil industry still isn't paying their taxes and where is the moratorium on oil and gas? Danielle Smith shut down green energy as a way to thumb her nose at Ottawa.

@@t.dmytryshyn2615 I'm pretty sure this "Paul" that Ryan interviewed is a Conservative Crony plant. Environmentalists were hired by the AER too, but the entire structure of of the energy regulator protects energy producers, not regulating them, not going after them for their blatant criminality. But Paul is a "PROUD" Con, a political party that proudly promotes deregulation. The facts are not adding up.
