Olivia also mentioned Ariana's morals have never been questioned which is just not true. There's no mention of the huge criticism Ariana has about her constant use of using Aave/Blaccent and changing her voice and appearance to benefit from different communities. Also the donut gate clip didn't show Ariana telling the worker "WTF is this?!" and "Disgusting" in front of the worker's face. The context of Ariana repeating "I hate America" to staff was because Ariana became vegan and loves carrots and shit so she was really calling Americans gross and fat when she put herself in a donut shop. Naya retracted a bit with all the hate she got from Ariana's huge fanbase, but in her book, Naya says Ariana had the key to Big Sean's house and let herself in and calls Ariana "smariana schmande."

I’m tired of people dismissing Donutgate. Personally my issues lies in how she treated the employee, calling them the “donut expert” and being overall condescending. This just shows that she doesn’t see normal hardworking people outside of her tax bracket as equals. That’s a huge problem and I don’t feel like she took accountability on that part. I like to think she grew as a person after all the trauma over the last few years but I don’t know if she truly did.

Some comments were nasty which was uncalled for. But as Hila said its a important to stand with the victim, what does the victim have to gain from this horrible news? The “I won’t believe it until it’s 110% confirmed” in the last episode was off putting. That’s like saying you can’t fault Haley Bieber for inserting herself in Selena’s relationship/the alleged bullying until it’s 110% proved by Selena? Everyone was QUICK to call out Haley’s bad behavior, why should Ari get a pass because she can sing?

THIS 👏 if Olivia can make an entire PowerPoint detailing the beef of Justin, Hailey, & Selena that took place over 10+ years, then she can easily discuss Ariana’s past controversies too. The issue is that Olivia knew about them, and chose to exclude it WHILE ALSO demeaning the claims from the victims. It was just a poor attempt at salvaging Ariana’s image, which came across as very disrespectful to the numerous people she’s hurt.

Olivia stated Ariana had done no wrong before then left out Ariana's pattern of past bad behavior during the powerpoint. It was only brought up when chat brought it up. She acknowledges she was bias enough to leave it out. Why is she getting a whole long segment of the podcast if all the relevant info isn't there? Instead, people that give her constructive criticism are given attitude and called haters. And if "none of it matters" like Dan said then why are you even covering it?

Calling the people who criticised Olivia and her portrayal of Ariana a crazy minority of haters is just wrong. Chat and a lot of people in the comments have rightly pointed out that Olivia was missing key information in her powerpoint about Ariana's past behaviour with cheating. Her also dismissing Lily Jay's VERIFIED COMMENTS about the affair plus all the news articles at the end by saying that she's "waiting to hear a statement from Ariana or Ethan about it" before believing it really rubbed me the wrong way. If you can't report on something without bias and lack relevant information, then yes you should be criticised for it even if you acknowledge it.

The fact that made me upset was how much she downplayed Ariana’s relationship with Colleen. She did that because she went so hard on Colleen (deserved) but since she is an Ariana Stan she completely ignores the fact that Ariana was/is VERY CLOSE to Colleen. Yesss!! I commented this before too when people were saying ariana seems like a mean girl. Jeannette actually took full responsibility about being jealous of ariana. But if you listen to the stories she told about ariana that made her feel that way, imo it was clear ariana was trying to make others feel less than. Name dropping celebs and talking about being out the night before filming the show, knowing that Sam had to do episodes without ariana bc she was allowed to have a career outside of the show and Sam/Jeanette wasn’t. And the fact that she still supports Dan Schneider is sus af bc she’s a grown adult and has to know she was victimized, but for some reason she supports him. It’s weird that Olivia went in more on Hailey than on Ariana. I get being a stan but what’s the point of giving PowerPoints if they’re going to be biased? The purpose is to fill everyone in on the drama but this PowerPoint was missing so much info, I just felt underwhelmed and found it weird that Olivia was trying hard to push for Ariana not being guilty when there’s literally so much evidence of this being a pattern. No one likes receiving criticism so I don’t blame her for getting defensive but since the PowerPoints are now a big part of the show I feel like she should include the whole story rather than purposely holding back info just because she likes the person in question. She can always mention how she feels while also relaying all of the facts

This one. She was so, sooo unequally critical of Selena too. Even people who aren’t a stan of Hailey know about some of Selena’s abhorrent behavior and that was omitted for “time and relevance.” There’s nothing irrelevant about Selena befriending Jennifer Aniston and then cheating with her then husband, Justin Troudeaux. And she didn’t include the fact that Selena used her influence to find out that Franzia was a doner BEFORE Franzia even knew. That’s a huge HIPAA violation and can you imagine that pressure when Selena Gomez calls to tell you “hey, you can give me your kidney!” Wtf. Also - no real credit to Selena’s motives for continuing to hang with the Kardashians after all they did, but they were blamed by Olivia. And she left out all the times Selena has made fun of other people.. Selena is gross to me. I’m not a fan of Hailey - she has no work to be a fan of - but I was turned off by Olivia’s take them and I am again with this one. Don’t do these presentations if you’re not prepared to be as much of a journalist as you can by including all details, no matter how relevant YOU think they are. That’s just bad work. I'm gonna paste my comment from the main episode here because I worked so mf hard on it, but it's ummm a lot😅 With peace and love, the reason why a lot of people were critical of Olivia and her take is (at least, in my opinion) because she started her presentation by saying that Ariana’s character hadn’t really been in question before. By omitting the donut licking, the race switching, and the sketchy dating history (whether it's true or just messy gossip), the presentation just fell flat and unlike the others. Yes, this is a comedy podcast and nothing should ever really be taken seriously. Yes, Olivia stated her bias before everything started. Yes, Olivia shouldn’t be treated poorly by everyone because of this one bad take. I just think it should have been addressed more properly in today’s “rebuttal." 1. Olivia states that she mentioned Ariana’s past towards the end. A. Yes, but only because Hila read a comment saying that she’s done this before. Otherwise, Olivia wouldn’t have gotten into it. 2. Olivia says that mentioning Ariana’s past dating wouldn’t have been interesting or worth it to include. B. If Olivia was already aware of Ariana’s history (as evidenced by what she said at the end of the presentation, combined with her saying that she knew about it on today’s episode), then why did Olivia start the presentation saying that Ariana’s character hadn’t been in question before? OR Olivia could have taken this opportunity to debunk the other dating rumours and this would have painted Ariana in a somewhat better light WHICH wouldn’t have made Olivia look like a delusional stan. 3. Olivia saying that she is always on the victim’s side and agrees that Ariana is in the wrong C. Then why did she say in the presentation that until everything is confirmed, she wouldn’t change her mind about how she feels about Ariana? Maybe she realized toward the end that Ariana was in the wrong because of the additional insight from Ethan and especially Hila, but it was still a weird take to include in the presentation. Moreover, by this logic, nobody should trash on or change their view of Ethan Slater UNTIL everything is confirmed. So why did they? 4. Ariana’s character has never been in question before D. So we’re just not gonna talk about the race baiting then? Arguably, it’s one of, if not the only, thing common people know about Ariana. More so than the dating history. I think by even giving a slight mention to the blackfishing and other racefishing scandals, it would have made Olivia more credible. Olivia’s attitude towards the issue in today’s episode was a little frustrating to watch because she’s making it seem like the fans can never state their opinions or offer criticism towards the crew. Of course, many people took it way too far, with some people going overboard over an informal celebrity gossip presentation. Those comments are obviously okay to ignore, but when you look at the common theme that the majority of people were commenting on (i.e., Olivia should have been more objective), then that’s when you have to take people’s opinions in consideration. And if you’re wondering why I’m very invested and concerning myself with this, it’s not so much about the seriousness of the presentation, but it’s more about Olivia’s attitude toward the comments. But I understand, it was Olivia’s birthday and I can only imagine that seeing some truly heinous shit being said about you in the comments section would make anyone feel small and I commend Olivia for even putting herself out there today because it must have been hard. However, to completely write everyone’s opinions off and not paying attention to the more level headed comments was mildly infuriating. I appreciate Olivia’s presence on the podcast - she brings a youthful, feminine, and exciting energy to the crew! But that doesn’t mean I can’t call it as I see it. I hope everyone can just have a civilized conversation about this.

I just wish what Ariana did/is currently doing was treated with more of a serious lens. It is hard for me to imagine the wife especially and her child, but what if and when Ariana gets tired of Ethan, they're no longer doing promotion for Wicked, what life does he have? His moment with Ariana will forever haunt him. There is no coming back from this for anyone in that family. It is an unpredictable, suffering thing for this to happen to them. I hope you consider the criticism. I am more ambiguous towards Ariana normally, but I still hope that her pattern of behavior here actually gets scolded rather than, "Well, it's Ariana Grande." Their family dynamic is permanently severed. I wish the best to those who didn't cause it in living an optimistic life. Editing to say, I followed Colleen Ballinger's allegations for a long time and was so floored by Olivia's coverage on that PowerPoint. I think I just wanted a more thorough documentation of Ariana's "homewrecking" pattern here, because it feels like an elephant in the room when reading stuff on here. Again I'm relatively unbiased on Ariana, I just wanted that same thorough coverage. And I agree that it just wasn't thorough enough. No hate at all here, I just know Olivia is typically more detailed in research of people she's familiar with. And I just felt like a good chunk was missing. She's why I started watching H3 stuff again, hence I know she has the ability to document and do it well.

I feel like it would be great for Olivia to have a partner in these slides or someone to go over it before airing to help keep things more neutral or at least when she is a fan of the celebrity in question. Olivia is a smart girl who loves pop culture and can really find dirt when she wants, anyone that is so into this stuff so hard is gonna be a fan of a lot of big celebrities where many are TERRIBLE people. I don’t blame Olivia, it’s hard when someone you’ve looked up to growing up is exposed for their behavior, but especially when there’s a lil baby involved, it’s important to recognize or even ask if something feels too biased. I love The podcast and one of the main reasons is because Ethan and the show tends to admits their mistakes or faults and usually keeping stuff neutral, which is also why I stopped watching tea channels because it all felt too one sided. I think another part of why people (including myself) found it so biased was because of how little work she put into it in comparison to her other powerpoints, such as the one with Colleen or Sydney Sweeney. She had no problem with the Sydney Sweeney drama when literally none of it was confirmed besides the potential boyfriend’s wife leaving him and making suspicious posts, whereas the wife of Ethan Slater has confirmed it multiple times and has a lot more backing it up. I think it’s respectable that she can at least admit she was being biased, but in any other power point, she would do HEAVY research into other things sometimes not even directly related to the scandal at hand. Another, for example, being the Selena and Hailey Bieber drama. She went ALL out, and it seemed like she shelled out on this in particular because of her denial that Ariana was gonna rise above this or that this is a one-time ‘shocking’ thing from her, whereas any other time, she would bring different instances/receipts that would point to a pattern of behavior or all in all just generally poor in taste. She had so much material to work with, such as Naya Rivera putting it in her book that Ariana cheated with her man, or the thing about Pete Davidson not being fully out a relationship (speculated) with his girlfriend when starting with Ariana, and a lot more. She also says she doesn’t wanna talk about things that are a little loosey-goosey, speculated, or has a little fog behind it, but that’s NEVER an issue in any other instance. A lot of the segments they go over do have a lot of ‘loosey-goosey’ details or some that aren’t 100% proven, which is just another example of how she doesn’t want to discuss it because she doesn’t feel motivated to believe the other side, or provide more potential that the other side is true. I understand that’s a lot of work, and some powerpoints can’t always be as 100% as others, but it just seemed incredibly blatant that she was putting in much less effort to Ariana’s past and whatnot when a lot of it is even common knowledge. I still love Olivia and she’s not immune to being a biased person, I just think she should take the criticism as a pointer to try and execute her future powerpoints with less of that if a similar situation ever occurs, or pass it on to a different crew member if she doesn’t think she can do it justice.

Jesus Christ. She’s not going to deliver the case well. *Choose someone else.*

It’s honestly quite manipulative of Olivia to label legitimate criticism as “Ariana Grande haters”. This isn’t just petty drama either… this ruined a whole family I can’t imagine the pain Lilly Jay is going through right now… I don’t want to watch a podcast that is so skewed by a bias AND refuses to reflect on it. It would’ve been better to just move on but the aggression and excuses is distasteful…

The thing is - The "Donut scandal" is even worse when you watch the OTHER video TMZ have from the incident, which for some reason haven't gotten any coverage (search for "Ariana Grande I DONUT ALWAYS STICK TO MY DIET" on their website to find the video). She is SO condescending to the worker! "What's your go-to?" *looks her up and down* "Donut pro" *smirks like a bully* "I need a little help from the donut professional here..."

It was a crazy hate train and the Powerpoint was on one specific situation, detailed af, clearly painted Ariana as the rightful villain. The moment someone doesn't agree with your every thought you go crazy saying she omitted the facts because she's a stan and should never do another pp. And now who can't take any criticism. why should she include lies and rumors that randoms created online? most of the allegations are already proven false, like the cazzie and naya ones, and the “ari cheated on mac miller” one is also a lie. also ethan was separated from his wife, and ari was separated from her husband, they are allowed to move on. leave ariana and olivia alone. 🇮🇹
