This is in a similar tangent to the "Kill Them" sketches; a recurring joke where the humour is less derived of the situation, but rather from the subversion of expectations. However, where "Kill them" is positive and goes dark at the end, this starts negative and goes much lighter.

Your daughter’s took ill” he sounds a lot like Laurence Rickard from horrible histories, and this combined with the fact that several actors from that series have appeared in sketches in this made me think it actually was him until I saw it was not him and was actually Armstrong

its a different type of narrative. if you know the twist/punchline the humour or thrill comes not from what will happen but how it will happen. like a bio pic you know where the famous person ends up but you still can enjoy the film because you get to see how they got there.
