Really enjoyed listening to your process and the excitement of revisiting a previous challenge. I hope your buddy enjoys the marines! =)

I don’t know if this is helpful but I’ve had great success by laying down my primary color over the whole army. So green on the orks or for me purple on the Votann. That way I immediately have a painted army then I come back little by little to complete them squad by squad. It doesn’t feel like as large of a task if you see immediate results.

Thanks for the suggestion! I like that idea of getting each unit to a certain painted "threshold" and then going back to them at a later time to pick out more details. This is probably the best middle ground between fielding an army that's coloured while still casually going back during downtime to pick out details. Do you ever find yourself wanting to break the process and just keep working with one model?

@@VotannVersus40KAbsolutely which is what I really like about it. If I’m excited about a project I can keep working on them but if I feel myself getting worn down I can put them down and move onto something else but the mental load isn’t as great because they’ve still got color on them even if they have more work to be done.
