The Arran Coastal Way - Day 3 (Sannox to Lochranza)

On day 3, we cover 10 miles between Sannox Bay and Lochranza, stopping for a brew halfway at the abandoned Cottage. We spend the night at the campsite, so we can have a meal at the Lochranza hotel (which turns out to be very expensive).

I know but no harm in removing any bits, as the stream didn't look very clean. I think some folk do use it as a bothy.

A nice walk and a great video. Pity about the cost of the meal though but it was the only hotel in Lochranza and if you want a meal out you just gotta bite the bullet and pay for it! Looking forward to Day 4.

What I meant is that the hotel has you by the short and curlies.....we have it and if you want it you pay what we ask, even if it is exorbitant.

Hi Mr Hills, just got back from holiday and put you tube on and to my surprise you uploaded 4 very good videos and I enjoyed watching them all. I have not been to Arran. "yet". Yes, I went to Borrowdale in the lake district for 5 nights, very hot.

Head for the Hills, I think they are all dear on Arran. I've been in that pub/hotel round from Lochranza you were in and I don't recall it being so bad. I think maybe I also got something to eat at the Douglas. Won't be doing that agin any time again soon, but aye the drink in there is also pricey. Nicky S, if you've watched HFTH's videos and you're reading this then the good walking/camping folk of Scotland DEMAND cheaper lager. :-)
