19:10 Also looks like could be for Halo, Call of Duty or some shooting game for the people that don't know much about those games 19:45 as someone that doesn't know about Doom that cover doesn't tell me that, just tells me "oh, dude in armor shoots stuff", so doesn't give much on why chose that one over all the shooting games out there

Covers can look cool, but that's not the main issue, you have to remember that the box art is also advertising. So the art needs to properly convey what the game is. Doom and Spider-Man don't do that.

Neversoft sounds like something they should go to a doctor for. In all seriousness I remember having the demo of that game and playing it repeatedly as a kid. Don't think I ever got the full game.

For me, my favorite box art for video games are Final Fantasy VII (a box art so iconic the remake made an HD version of it), both Horizon games, all the Kingdom Hearts games (especially 1 & 3), & all the Xenoblade Chronicles games excluding X.

Square's box art in general is great. JP Final Fantasy VI is the peak IMO, that box art is incredible.

I liked silent hill 4s cover art of the chained up door and ghost. After looking it up to make sure I remember correctly, I prefer the Japanese versions art. The original DOOM's cover art I think will always be iconic

It was a lot of Mortal Kombat games or N64 games but I couldn't think of one except maybe UMK 3 or the first Smash Bros. but one I remember if anyone can relate is Battle Arena Toshinden or Primal Rage.

It's a shame that sometimes the US gets stuck with shittier box art. Like, compare the US box art for Symphony of the Night, a generic castle render, to the beautiful Ayami Kojima artwork the JP and PAL versions got.

No the boxart for re4 is better in pal regions then USA you don’t need charcters on the box just the logos and call background it dares you to pick it up
