Every night before I go to sleep, I draw in an old diary with a black pen. I use one calendar square and the only rule is to fill the square with something... anything. I usually don't have my glasses on and the lines are all crooked, any colouring in is haphazard, but it's just a way for me to unwind and calm my brain before sleep. Occasionally I'll look at them in the light of day, with my glasses on, and laugh at how bad the execution is, but as a recovered perfectionist, it's nice to be able to just let go and do anything I like without constraint.

I love this!! I sketched along but instead of the brush I drew a vase with some simple flowers in it. You are so good at loose lines, it's not as easy as it seems, for me at least. I guess I need a lot of practice 😅❤

Thank you for the clip. Always fun and inspirational to watch you drawing and painting. just bought "mini-paper" for something like that. I was searching for some small stuff (paper, colour box, etc.) that fits in one of my small army belt bags so i can take them always with me when go out for cycling for example. Just to paint little things i see like mushrooms ore flowers and stuff like that. Just for the joy, you know? 🙂 By the way: We call the mushroom "Steinpilz" in Germany 🙂

I have been looking for a sketchbook like the one you were inking on, can you tell me the exact dimensions and where I could order one?… Every time,I think I have one as close as possible…..Nope too tall, or too short, maybe I could just cut those dimensions and make my own, if I cannot find a source… Thank you so much, and I love your loose style and hope to do that as well! I tend to add doodles to my cards and the outside of envelopes for mailing, but none come close to the quality of yours!…I do seem to do better with my glasses of and sketching in the blur!😮😂

Hey Sunny, I may not be interpreting your comment correctly but just in case it is encouraging for you I just want to let you know that you can in fact learn! I started as someone who has literally no "natural talent" whatsoever. But after some courses online and lots of KZbin videos I have improved to the level where friends of mine think I can actually draw! The whole thing seems mysterious until you break it down and learn it.
