Now that I'm watching the whole show it makes sense that Michael's branch was doing better in this particular point in time. Jim and Andy were about to get married and were probably taking their jobs and responsibilities much more seriously. Thanks for this comment. Here's a standalone monologue I put together with the same context. This is a great piece to explore timing and discovering words. Written with Steve Carrel's performed beats in mind, but after the temperature section, a different tactic may have to be used as we can't show the passage of time like the show does w/ pasta. David here it is, my philosophy is basically this-and this is something I've always lived by, and I always have and I always will. Don't ever for any reason, do anything to anyone, for any reason, ever, no matter what, no matter where, or who, or who you are with, or where you are going, or where you've been, ever, for any reason whatsoever- this is gonna sound kinda high maintenance but can I get it like 3 degrees cooler in here , I always think better in the cold. So, I was in the office, and i look over at our accounting division and there is Kevin Malone. Kevin is wearing a jacket I've never seen before. And I call over to Kevin, " Kevin is that a twead jacket", and he looks at me and he says "Michael, yes it is a twead jacket" and I look back at him and i say "I feel the need, the need for twead." Oh thank you. I have to say I am so impressed with the potential you see in me.
