Tim finds his inspiration in many places. Here are some amazing books he finds intriguing, starting with a book called 'The Art of Looking Sideways'.
He chooses an amazing picture of a shop selling coats - maybe in Belgium? - where the coats have been hung up in rows on the outside walls of the shop in such profusion that you cannot see the shop at all, except for the front door! Secondly, a 'picture' of two people having a meal, except that the picture is made up of words, which give you a hint as to what is happening in this little scene.
Then a book about kites, some of which are really unexpected. There is a flying dog kite for example. And then a figure of a man, floating in the air.
A book about Escher, except that the drawings appear as pop-ups - wonderful paper engineering!
'A Pig With Six Legs' is the title of a book that is all about clouds.
A book from Finland (and all in Finnish!) about unusual and often slightly specialised items which - in many cases - you might not be able to guess what they are for. A compendium of 'Whatsits'.
Finally, a couple of books, one about the Grand Canal in Venice and the other about the river Thames in London. Each book only has one page - you fold it out and get a very long panorama!
