The Art of Marx Trains Part 14: The Deluxe Plastic Bay Window Caboose

Beginning in 1957, Marx produced a wonderful bay window caboose in five different road names. The Allstate came in two different colors: orange and turquoise blue. K-Line continued producing the same plastic molds in both O and S gauges in many heralds and colors. Thanks for watching!

I did not even know Marx made a bay window caboose. I have been into trains since 1966.

worked at Brasseur and put a few k-line bay windows together from the surplus of parts

Marx also made a dark red SP caboose.

I have a K lIne UP Railroad Police Bay windows caboose and it is much larger to match the Lionel Silver SP caboose I have. I also have the Menard's Bay Window UP caboose and it is smaller than the lionel,. but larger than the Marx bay window caboose. I had assumed that Menard's had Kline produce their trains but I'm now wondering if they are MTH? Any idea who the OEM for Menard's is?
