Marx guy here, I didn`t know the 2124 existed, I have my Dad`s 1957 Lionel Bud-Liner 404X Cargo and Passinger, it still runs fine after a little T.L.C.

The marx car is very pleasing. I never knew they made an RDC. I have a newer Amtrak AMT budd car and it runs great. Thanks!

Thanks for sharing nice sharp looking budd cars. I have seen a few Marx Budd cars on ebay a few of them have broken shell parts or missing horns, the ones that are perfect the seller is asking for 300 or higher pretty expensive. I have gotten two of the Lionel 400 Baltimore and Ohio postwar Budd one came like new with box the other is also the same but used and no box. Like your AMT the Lionel appears scale size longer than Marx

Have a question on your K line S-2 2320. Is that a good running and been reliable for you? I don't know much about K line except there made in China

I worked at Brasseur electric trains and we scratch built K line butt cars from new parts and the shells were Marx molded from there dies

Looks like the AMT car uses Pittman trucks. Same style, construction, and motor as my Pittman freight motor, but with slightly different pickup roller placement. Never knew about the AMT cars, saw one online once and wondered who made it. Now I know! I have one of the RMT cars and it's a very attractive item that runs well, but I would love to find an original Marx someday. I think I want the AMT car even more though, knowing how nicely those pittman drives run.
