This would have been good, but all the bulbs are flowering at different times so I wouldn’t be able to share the blooms in their entirety. However, right now the Daffodils are in flower and they look stunning! Thanks for watching 👍

Hi , can you share at least how the daffodils turned out please?

Hi there, thanks for the video tutorial. Isn't it late to plant bulb lasagna in November? Another question is - what is the lowest temperature that allows to keep the pot outside? At what temperature should I take the pot to the shelter? Thanks in advance
@easy.gardeningАй бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. Tulip bulbs can be planted as late as December, so you should be ok. However, it may be too late to plant other bulbs at this time of the year to create a bulb lasagna. Though it’s worth checking the packaging of your bulbs for recommended planting times. Spring bulbs can survive freezing temperatures so you won’t need to shelter your pot. The most important thing is to have good drainage, as I’ve shown in this video, to prevent the bulbs from rotting. Hope this helps.

I planted several bulb lasagnes this afternoon but I didn't put in as many bulbs as you've done! Now I'm wondering should I add more.

Yes you should add more in for a stunning display! Plus you’ll be making most use of your compost. Thanks for watching 👍

Great video and explanation. I am in Canada where we get cold temperatures snow and ice-can the pot be left outside or should it be in the garage till early spring?
@easy.gardening2 ай бұрын
Thank you. Yes your pot can be left outside, as long as it has good drainage like I’ve shown in this video. Elevating the pot slightly off the ground will also help with this. Spring bulbs require the cold temperatures to kick start the germination process. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 👍

Hi enjoyed your video before I start just wanted to ask what compost did you use? Name brand please thank uou
@easy.gardening2 ай бұрын
Hi, thank you. I can’t remember the exact brand I used but what I would recommend is using a good quality, peat-free multi purpose compost. All good garden centres will have a wide selection to choose from. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🫶

Will you be ,leaving these exposed to the elements through the winter or storing the pots in a Shelter of some type ? Another question I have is after they have bloomed and the bloom dies what do you do with the pot of dirt and the bulbs for the summer months ? Thank you if you can answer any of this.
@easy.gardening3 ай бұрын
Hi, thanks for watching. I kept this pot outside throughout winter. Almost all spring flowering bulbs are hardy and can withstand the cold. Just make sure they have good drainage as demonstrated in this video. Once the blooms have fully died back in late spring/early summer, I move the pot into my garage and leave it there until early autumn before I bring it back into the garden again. Hope this helps

Hi, great video, im growing tulips for the first time. I will grow them in an outdoor planter. How often i need to water them, thanks
@easy.gardening2 ай бұрын
Hello and thank you! Once you’ve planted them, give your planter a good soak. After that, let the rain take care of them and you won’t need to water your bulbs. Your tulips will grow just fine. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Incredible video, brother. Do you need to place the pot inside somewhere dark for the first part or can they be left outside? Some instructions say to place indoors first until they shoot? Thanks in advance.
@easy.gardening3 ай бұрын
Thank you! And thanks for watching. No you don’t need to place the pot in the dark. Once you’ve planted the bulbs, it should be left outside over autumn and winter. Just make sure your pots have good drainage as shown in this video to avoid the bulbs from rotting. Hope this helps 👍

What you call compost would that be the same as peat moss in the United States???
@easy.gardening8 ай бұрын
Hello, good question! No, peat moss and compost are not the same. Peat moss is an organic material formed from decaying plants in waterlogged environments, while compost is organic matter that has decomposed and broken down into a nutrient-rich soil conditioner. Hope this helps, and welcome to the channel!

Great video! When you put these outside, do they need a cover of any kind?
@easy.gardening3 ай бұрын
Thank you! Nope, they will be just fine without any cover. Though I do like to put a stone dressing on top as shown and explained in this video. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🫶

Why not show the bulbs in bloom. I can imagine how crowded they will be and everything bunch up together.
@samueljaramillo42213 ай бұрын
You don’t need stones at the bottom your container as long as you have plenty of drain holes. Compost? You mean potting soil.
