Great video, thank you. I subbed I'm not new to gardening, and have planted a few bulbs, but I don't know a lot about planting bulbs and corms. Will be watching you to get the knowledge to make nice displays. I have only done some pots so far because the garden beds are full of unwanted weeds and plants. One year I planted some wild flowers and amongst the seeds must have been borage, and it took over and became a weed. I now need to clear the bed then start all over again, hopefully planting bulbs, tubers and corms for various plants, but early days right now. Thanks again.

Great video. I planted the blue grape flower and now my front garden is a carpet of blue in spring.❤

@@elizabethspedding1975 yes aren’t Grape Hyacinths beautiful. They do multiply but I find them manageable and not invasive.

Could you describe in more detail what a sheltered position is comprised of? How much sun? How much watering, if any is needed? How low is the temperature that can be tolerated? Thank you.
@Adams-Gardening-Guides2 ай бұрын
I think you are referring to placing pots of planted bulbs in a sheltered position over winter. By this I mean somewhere that pots won’t get frozen or waterlogged. Once shoots emerge they should be placed in full sun, and pots watered if conditions are dry. Hope this helps.

Beautiful, is it possible to grow this flower from seeds ?
@Adams-Gardening-Guides8 ай бұрын
Hi Alice. No you should look out for Narcissus bulbs. In the UK these usually go on sale from around September and are planted at any time from September until the end of the year. Plant breeders would cross pollinate different varieties and save seed to raise new varieties, which you could try, but most gardeners will buy bulbs. Glad you enjoyed my video.

Can you store the pots in a garage? What if it gets freezing in garage
@Adams-Gardening-GuidesАй бұрын
@@sharonhulin8769 winter cold isn’t a problem for daffodils, but avoid pots getting waterlogged. It’s fine just leaving pots outside in a sheltered position. Once green shoots appear (probably in the New Year) the pots should be in full light and not shade.

Are aquatic pots preferred over nursery pots??
@Adams-Gardening-Guides10 сағат бұрын
@@robinwine3957you could use either, but aquatic baskets allow soil contact around the sides and base, and are free draining in wet weather. This is why I prefer planting bulbs in them.

@@Adams-Gardening-Guides wish I knew that about daphs.... just huddled all my daph pots in corner of my deck on a frost cloth wrapped in burlap and a blanket (although I also have two long railing planters with hycynth and crocus) do they need wrapping??

@@Adams-Gardening-Guides what do you mean they allow soil contact?
