If I've learned anything at all from these videos is that I skate too tow heavy. I've been struggling with feebles and came back again and watched this. It was my darn heel. For pivots I was locking all the way in, with all but one wheel on the deck. Which works if your heavy on the toes. Problem is when I got to feebles I kept getting pitched into the ramp. So I came back and watched this again. I finally got it and started practicing pivots on my heel. It feels totally different. Once I got comfortable I tried the feeble again and I got it. Devils in the details, you got to get the weight on the heel. Thank you for posting the details. Takes a bit to get through my thick skull but I got there. Keep up the good work I enjoy you videos and appreciate the help.
@Dave0Star2 жыл бұрын
same problem here. any tips for landing with more weight on your heels?
@thatoneguy20572 жыл бұрын
@@Dave0Star Just got to focus putting your weight your back heel. Pivots were the key. I'd practice two or three heel pivots and then go back to trying feeble. The other key was getting the wheel up far enough over the coping. For that you got to scoop the board up with your toes then switch to your heel. Try a mellow ramp first. It's more forgiving. Then work on a steeper ramp.

Digging the info and tutorials! Viewing from the beach in NC. Any advice on learning on a 4-5' mini ramp? My local parks only have that size. So progression is a little slower cause the radius of the quarter pipe is steeper at the coping.
@trogarmy3 жыл бұрын
For sure the higher the ramp the lower you get on your board. when ride a 5' ramp I tend to bend my knees like 6" . I try to stay in a more aggressive riding stance. hope that helps you.

Maybe a suggestion: consider showing the trick from more angles, perhaps add a slomo? The last point i'm not so sure about because i like the "single take" concept, and we can of course adjust the playback speed. Nevertheless, slomos with in particular the entire body shown help me a lot to figure out how to do a trick or move myself.
@trogarmy3 жыл бұрын
Nowadays I am doing the multi angle. And everything you're talking about. Thanks for the suggestions.

Germany here. Love the trick tips and tutorials. I built a 4 ft backyard mini during the lockdown this year. I used a “film-faced-plywood” as riding surface but that’s really slippery. Do you have any ideas to make it grip a little better? I tried various wheels already but it’s still a slippery slope all the way... thanks man!

Yo, any reason why I go into a smith stall when trying a normal pivot 😅
@trogarmy2 жыл бұрын
id have to see an example but sometimes people try to turn to early and powerslide into these backside stalls and smith is where you land. Other times there is too much rotation and back foot toes are off the rail to much creating a back smith lock in. send me a clip if you like on insta or link your youtube clip. Ram it Down
