Excellent speech sir, Iam humble lawyer with forty years practice in civil court sir, it was brief and to the point, thank u very much, you remind I, of my great seniors. .

Am into it just 7 minutes and I already like it. Dependence on case laws can fail because there is almost always another case law at least one, with an opposing view.

1.30 Your remark of very less reaction time to locate relevant para in the ongoing court IS essence of this whole lecture to keep gist ready instantly. Highly enriched in content, this video needs at least 2 to 3 hours to visit properly for common persons like me.

Good one. But one should understand the practical difficulties in SC..seldom do the present day judges take efforts to understand the local laws and practices. Nor do they have an ear for less known lawyers or of high court views. 🤔

What is the difference between ratio decidendi and obiter dicta?

Former is the reason on which the judgment is pronounced, latter is the opinion/observation of a particular justice in general.
