You inspire you me much. There is just something about you that is so calming to me. I am a 65 yea old woman who has had my share of grief, and I want you to know that you make my day. Your voice is very soothing even with a flu, or cold. You radiate kindness and your sweet little Charlie makes me smile. You are also very talented. Your home is beautiful. I hope that your days are full of love light and hope for beautiful tomorrows. Healing and love to you, and all who need it today. May you find peace in joy, and many blooms in your garden. Happy Spring.

Thank you for the nice video. Re your seeds, you need to incubate them by covering the tops of the pots with plastic wrap (or plant in small take-out containers that have opaque lids; basically anything that allows sunlight in). The cover controls the mini climate so you only have to do an initial light watering when you plant. In a few days you'll notice condensation collecting on the plastic wrap and then plants should begin to emerge about a week after.

Yes, Nature sounds are healing and miraculous !! My favs are birdsongs, rustling of leaves, water flowing gently in a brook, sound of the breeze, buzzing of bees , a howl of jackal in the woods, sound of the gravel stone while walking, crunch of the dried leves, melodies from wind chimes, vocals of migratory birds. Right now I am living in a very urbanised city and I dont experience these sounds but very soon I will get to !! Because I am meant to, I am a very nature loving person & cant live far from it. Its where I feel at home❤

So many lovely memories! I grew up on the Hudson River in Manhattan. Every spring, When the yellow forsythia bloomed, my father would always say, “Forsooth forsythia!” I miss him so much. I live in LA now, there are wild lupines growing for spring which are a lovely bluish purple. Also there is a marvelous free app: “Merlin” which identifies birds from their sounds. Since I’m not from here, it’s taught me about the birds in California. I sometimes take care of a darling 2 1/2 year old boy, and he LOVES going on nature walks and identifying the birds, plants and animals all around us. I love returning to the Hudson Valley with you. Thank you so much!

Your wooden peg plant markers are such a good idea! Thank you, oh lovely girl! You are such a breath of fresh air, even with your flue/cold - on it's way out now I hope. Like others have said on here, I am a 66 years young woman, living alone with Madge my rescue greyhound, and I find you very calming, which is what we all need right now, with all the horrible things going on in our world at the moment. Nature is nurture, and I love being out in it in West Devon, England, even in the rain, as it seems to be doing that all the time here at the moment - you seem to be getting a lot too! I saw two beautiful deer on my walk with Madge yesterday, and feel so privileged to be able to see such wonderful things. I often hear the buzzard overhead, and the crows, who I talk to! Mother Earth is a wonderful thing. Love and Blessings to you and the wonderful little Charlie dog, from Jilly & Madge xxx

Spring is my favorite season! I grew up on a farm in a holler in VA, it’s still there so I love to hear the lizards in the Spring. However my favorite sound in the whole, wide world at any time is to hear the birds singing. The morning after my Daddy passed, I never had nor have I since heard the birds sing so loudly and beautifully, I believe they were rejoicing that he was in Heaven! I also believe God gave me that to help soothe my grief just a little bit.

You should try winter sowing! You can still do annuals. All you need is a clear plastic container, most use a milk jug or water jug, but it doesn’t have to be. Then you just set it outside. I like it because I don’t have the space for seed starting. Look it up! It’d be a perfect solution for you. Love your channel! You are amazingly creative ❤

I discovered something about marigolds. I, too, never had luck, so i bought marigolds in flats, but since then, at the end of the season, i don't pull the seed heads. I leave them, and out of the many that sprout, i then transfer them. I discovered the marigolds can grow insanely huge, and these were the ones that did not get watered often. I get so many seeds. Now, not all germinate but enough to transplant. I am not a very good gardener, but i try. I had several single plants i basically ignored and watered rarely. They were huge. What a strange thing 😮. I love morning glories, and these are supposed to be self seed and easy. Nope. I have problems with getting them to germinate😢. Love your video and soup recipe

Hello Kate and Charlie.. Sorry to see you have a cold, I always attribute it to the changing of the season. Winter to Spring does it to lots of people, myself included. There could be a bit of allergies added also as things start popping up in the garden and forests. You have all the right remedies tho, so hang in there. I've had great success with dollar store seeds ! Good luck with yours. My favourite Spring sounds are the first birds in the morning and the sound of rain ! Get well soon sweet girl and as always, I send love to you and your furry boy 💜🐾🌻💜

I’m in Texas. I love the sound of the crows in the morning, cicadas in the summer, the train at night. I love the little squeaks the squirrels make when they’re griping at my Chihuahua for getting too close, or I’m taking too long to feed them. I love listening to my cats purring and the tiny barks from my dachshunds when they’re sleeping and dreaming. We get lots of thunderstorms and I LOVE the sound of rain. I love the thunder too but only the low grumbling kind, not the loud claps that make my heart skip a beat.

Kate, for me, there is nothing like the sound of the raindrops’ pitter patter on the rooftop, on the ground, on a lake, wherever! And the sound of crickets in the summertime. So many other sounds too but these two are my favorite. And thunderstorms.. Agh, nature is such a gift and to be able to hear it all is itself a miracle.Feel better, this time of year the pollen is a popping out, and my sinuses, my hay fever goes wild, putting pressure on my left ear 😏, there’s seems to be always lots of inflammation. But it’s okay, cause those of us who sugoffer in this way, you will get thru it and so will I. Life has such a way of helping us thru the muddy detours. Be well and Happy Rainy Days to you, cozy for sure. 💜🙏🌻🕊

Oregano oil is one of the greatest things in the world to have, just make sure you take your probiotics also, the oregano oil will lessen a lot of the good flora in the gut. I am just now getting over weeks of a sinus infection ( which I’ve never had in my life and didn’t even know I had) that had me with laryngitis for weeks, not being able to see at times, and both my ear tubes collapsed and my ears were bleeding making me unable to hear.. and extra vitamin C has been doing a great job reversing everything in just a few short days. ..And Yes Yes Yes to homemade soups!!. 🥰🙂

In the Spring the song birds have returned. My favorite times are the early morning hours when it is still dark outside with just a hint of light and the birds in the pine trees that surround my house start singing. I look out my windows and I feel like I’m up in a treehouse with the robins, wrens, cardinals, doves, blue jays and other birds. Next I hear the many squirrels in my yard start running across the roof to get to the trees in the back. Their little feet hitting the roof tiles sound so cute. They are so vocal and I am trying to learn squirrel language. 😊

🥰I would like to say thank you for the wonderful videos, I love them. What to Charlie stress while walking. There are seven positions in the pack of dogs. Charlie is certainly the second last of the guards. If you let him run in the front, he has constant stress. Try to lead him behind you or next to you. The leash should be loose, you have to imagine the little guy has to take over the leadership of the pack and that is far too big a task for him. Maybe you will find more information about the 7 dogs that make up a pack. I wish you both all the best, I'm looking forward to more amounts. Kind regards, Mona and her dogs

Oh my goodness, Kate, I can't believe how spring-like it is down there! Wow. Forsythia! Magnolia! Daffodils! We just came off two days of snowstorm with a good foot of wet, heavy snow, and the power where I live was out for 3 days. (Before that the ground was almost bare and I was watching my garlic come up!) Tip: If you forget to water your seeds, cover the pot with some plastic wrap or put them in a plastic bag (like you're making a little terrarium!), but make sure you give them some air every few days or it can get too moist and they could rot. But it keeps in the moisture while they're starting to germinate. It is so cute to see Charlie in his little sweater, and I just love hearing the sound of the birds and the patter of the rain... those are both two of my favourite nature sounds. But I think my very favourite is to hear the sound of a creek running over rocks...just that little sweet tinkling, especially if I'm walking along a trail and suddenly hear it, then I look over and see the sparkling water glistening over the rocks! Oil of oregano rocks! Feel better soon, and you and wee Charlie have a fabulous week among the flowers!

My TV provider offers a channel called NATURE. I listen to it a lot. It is so relaxing to listen to Nature. My favourite nature sounds are... Birds Rain Wind Thunder In that order. Seeing you in a clip with your back to the camera, seated in a chair, glancing at one of your books, showed off your beautifully decorated little boho cottage. What an ideal place to be in. I wouldn't want to leave. I love making homemade soups and stews. I only eat organic and find a huge difference in the taste. I make enough to last, at least, three days, and you are right, it gets better the second and third time. I have just begun to eat avocados! I am 77 and only, now trying them. They are to die for. I mash them with salt, pepper onion, garlic and hot sauce then, spread it on a plain, toasted Bagel. No butter needed. Yum! Rudy, has come a long, long way since I first reached out to you about Charlie. He runs freely, down the hallway, of my apartment, to drop off our garbage. He just loves the word, garbage!😂 Also, he is meeting people and accepting their hand petting! I, now, get to snuggle with him at bedtime. He has his little bed, beside my pillow and, I am sleeping blissfully. I am so grateful for your encouragement and thank God, I didn't rehome him. He is, now, my little boy❤ Glad you are feeling better. Do hope you get your hearing back. It is really annoying until it pops open, which it will do. I love the clothes peg idea for identifying your seeds. Much happiness wished, Kate. Heather Ontario 🇨🇦 18:52

Again love your KZbin story! It is so calming and inspiring to watch! Charlie is so highly sensitive! ❤ It's a lot about nature that calms me down... The sound of birds, wind blowing in the Trees! Rain drops falling in a lake, the sea... But the good smells.. the smell of spring, of a summer rain, the smell of the sea. And some things that make me so happy in nature, like butterflies, or flowers in bloom....

I think my favorite sounds are at night. Hearing an owl hoot, or a wolf or cayote howl. Or cattle lowing and snuffling. I don't live in the country so when I have the opportunity to hear these night sounds, I just love it. Crickets are great on hot summer nights. (as long as they stay outside and don't come into the house) Living in Minnesota, the loons are fun to listen to and the waves hitting the shore, and of course rain showers and thunder, but we haven't had enough of that for quite a long time, and I miss it so much.

Thank you, Kate for another wonderful reminder on how to stay grounded and centered. Spring is not my favorite season. I love the return of morning birdsongs and wildflower blooms but it seems to be the season that requires the most patience through, sometimes, painful growth. Bruce Springsteen is in town. At his concert the other night he honored the memories of loved ones past and present. He offered some wise words "Death brings a certain clarity and grieving is the price we pay for love." I really loved that "...grieving is the price we pay for love". Take good care, Kate. The spring sun feels good and bright, however it doesn't always clear away the winter shadows that rest on our hearts. More feeling and processing is required, in it's own time. ❤🌱

Kate, the auditory nerve is connected to every organ in the body. Thus the reason sound influences us so powerfully, especially in nature because Sound is our Mother. The creative energy of what Consciousness is, or the creative force of three that express itself as One, the Holy Spirit or the proton, electron and the neutron. Beautiful presentation and yessum, sound can heal us more so through our mighty sacred hearts. I Love You, Kate, you and Charlie are special to us all. Big Hugs

I enjoy your videos. I live in Phoenix and Key West Florida. Phoenix is going to go when my 91 y.o. Dad passes...whenever that may be. He is extremely healthy...both mentally and physically. Anyhoo, when that occurs...I will be buying a summer home in Northern California. I was born in Troy, NY...moved to Brooklyn at age 3...stayed there until 1993, when i moved to Phoenix....with myself and 6 kiddos. I knew absolutely NO ONE. Life is an adventure. Enjoy❤

So happy to see a new video! Nature definitely has healing powers. I really hope you're feeling better soon. Sometimes colds can really hold on especially when we're stressed. Its wonderful that you're finding ways for Charlie to get out & about w/minimally stress. We discovered our dog didn't like crowded parks pretty quickly, but they kinda stress me out too. I had great luck w/$ 🌳veggie - sugar pea seeds last year! I was pretty happy since they're so cheap compared to garden centers. I rarely have luck w/starting seeds indoors, but I tend to kill houseplants. Looking forward to getting my little 4" flowers soon. I really enjoy seeing them grow from tiny little plants!

I grew up in the country in Kentucky so listening to crickets at night is always nice. We have a nature preserve not far from where I live now and one night I heard an owl coming from that direction. That was so cool! It's been rainy and chilly here for the past few days, as well and I'm so over it! I need some warm sunny days. I can't wait til the lilac bushes and honeysuckle blooms and I can smell it in the air. Hope you feel back to normal soon! That soup you made looks delicious!

God created everything with His faith infused in sound, in His words! The heavens and earth utter His praises and His glory. It’s no wonder they having healing in them as well! In Hebrew every letter is also a music note. When the Canters in the synagogues sing God’s word, they create atmospheres with their sounds. David literally healed King Saul’s depression with his songs. My favorite sounds, are rain storms with thunder, Birdsong, and Crackling 🔥 fires. Oh I almost forgot, crashing waves and ocean 🌊 sounds.

Dear Kate, I was just reading a article on the Hudson Valley Post, that the Delaware River is the most polluted river in America. I also live in the Hudson Valley and this really shocked me! 😳 I feel like I should lock myself in the house and hide. With all the bugs that can harm you, ticks especially. I’m a 2 time cancer survivor and my oncologist said she feels it’s our lifestyle and I feel the same way. My husbands uncle who lived to be 95 yrs. old said years ago that we are killing ourselves with all the chemical being used these days. Thank you for your beautiful and peaceful videos. I just thought I would let you know about the article and maybe you could research it. You and Charlie stay blessed.🙏💕😅

Beautiful video. Hope you continue to bounce back. Appears like you are overwatering the little seeds and they don’t have drainage. Seedling do good with clear coverage to hold the humidity for propagation. They don’t need that much water just consistency. Also, if your temp is in the low thirty’s the windowsill might have a draft? Marigolds can be tricky but gardening is always trial and error. Once you get some sprouts of a couple inches with your seedling put a fan on them for circulation to strengthen the stalk in replication of outside when you put them out so they are stronger.

Thank you for this video. That soup looked delicious! My favorite nature sounds during this time of year are the spring peepers, woodcocks doing their mating display at dusk, and watching at the spring birds come back - Redwing Blackbirds, Killdeer, Grackles, Chipping Sparrows, Towhees commanding "Drink Your Tea!!", and watching the Great Blue Herons build their rookeries.

Thank you once again Kate. So uplifting and inspiring! Hope the oregano oil does wonders for you and that your seeds germinate for you. I have just had the afternoon in my little garden planting Nasturtiums and Marigolds in seed trays. The sun was shining and the birds singing and you reminded me to listen. Here in the UK it is Bluebell time in the woods and I took my little rescue dog and walked across the sheep meadows to see them. I didn't feel like going to church this morning but spending time in nature was the perfect opportunity to pray and give thanks in my own way. So much to be grateful for and so healing. I pray you are blessed in every way as you are such a blessing to me and so many others. Sending love as always from England, Anna and Bonnie Dog xxx
