Good to know, but typing coordinates into the PCN might be the less tedious option. Here's hoping for an F10 map marker method like the Viggen in the future. Fortunately, the mod The Way (for generating waypoints from map locations) works with the M-2000C.

Indeed. The Viggen's take on the data cartridge is my favourite. Hopefully the functionality will be expanded in the future.

I think I understand the 1-10, 1-20 waypoints. It would be useful to load waypoints in two parts. First load a 1-20 set where you care about the 11-20 waypoints then overwrite with a 1-10 set. By loading two MIPs in this order you can mix-and-match two flight plans into one.

Yes, I suppose the only way to get around that would be to combine the data from two separate lua files into a single one beforehand.

I'm happy to see that you dropped a new video on the mirage ! It might sound like a skill issue but could you do a tutorial on how to PROPERLY turn off the mirage or get it back ready to fight once you repaired ? My bottom right panel light up like a Christmas tree after I turn my mirage off and try to restart it, especially when I try to get repairs. I'm a bit early but I wish you an happy new year

Thank you - hopefully life will be back to normal soon. I will certainly do a restart video - just need to find some time. Have a great New Year!

Really enjoying your videos - I've learned a lot of small details that I was missing - so your work is very much appreciated - will buy you a coffee... If you're looking for a new video idea, could you possibly work through all of the alarms and alert tones that the M2K makes and their meaning? I find myself in dogfights when some new alert sound occurs, and while I'm trying to figure out what it relates to, I lose SA and it all goes pear shaped.

Thank you. I certainly will in time. I've still got lots to cover but I want to include as much as possible over the course of the series.

vagabond here,Damm, they really dropped the ball here, not having the ability to do it in f10 like the viggen or the jeff really kills the mood
@reiver1-1 Жыл бұрын
Hi Vagabond. Hopefully that will be implemented soon, that's a nice feature of the Viggen. Hope you are splashing hundreds of bandits on Flashpoint Levant!

Great stuff, as always. Stupid question, but do you still have to align our use the pre-alignment as usual?...
@reiver1-1 Жыл бұрын
No question is stupid! Yes, you still need to align, either a full alignment or a stored one. The cartridge only adds the numerical data that will be used by the INS once it is align-referenced and functional.

@@reiver1-1 Awesome! Thanks!

do i need to do an ins alignment after loading the data cartridge?
@reiver1-13 ай бұрын
No, so long as you've already done an INS alignment, you can then load the data from the cartridge after the fact.

I'm a bit confused. I get how the LUA version gives you some special options. But, outside of names on the kneeboard, the Mission Editor version just seems to do what creating a mission in the Mission Editor has always done. What am I not understanding?
@reiver1-1 Жыл бұрын
Sure. When I load into a multiplayer server, I frequently find no waypoints have been programmed for the M2K slot I have chosen, only its starting position. Rather than sit and programme them all one by one, I can set up a cartridge with all my favourite locations, airfields and patrol routes. With the cartridge saved, I can then quickly get the waypoints I want and can use it over and over again. I can even have multiple cartridges for different sortie types so I can change them as I please. Hope that makes sense?
@typhonus2 Жыл бұрын
@@reiver1-1 Sure, of course. I have never once played MP, only SP, and thus this didn't connect with me at all. But the use of it in LUA mode offers up a number of better approaches than clicking away at the keypad in flight, so thanks!

wish we could have this for the f-18
@reiver1-1 Жыл бұрын
I'm sure they'll implement it eventually, or something similar. It's a nice feature in the Viggen, JF-17 and now the Mirage 2000C.
