Thanks, Dr Strong, for the most in-depth and scientific explanation of PP. A question: is there a way of getting a blood pressure graph short of going to the hospital??

Amazing lecture Sir! As always it has been a plesaure listening to you and watching your intricate animations. Also the German pronaunciation was very good! If we could just talk a bit about the RPPV and the physiology behind it. I have always imagined that by breathing in air and blood is "sucked into the chest" meaning air fills the lungs and the veins empty into the right atrium as can be seen if we watch someones JVP while breathing, but at the same time we get an increased afterload in the RV and LV which would lead to a decrease in systolic and diastolic pressure? Am I atleast partially correct? Thank you in advance!

Sir it was an amazing lecture will you post the rest of the cardiovascular physiology videos?
@StrongMed Жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure when I will post the rest of this series. The next video will be hormonal and neural control of the CV system; I started working on it 6 months ago, but wasn't satisfied with how it was coming together and put it on the back-burner for a while.

Today I noticed the gray hair you got . Your channel has been ~10 years . Life goes fast. ♥️ . You speak German?
@StrongMed2 жыл бұрын
No need to point it out! =P Yep, 10 years goes fast! I took 3 years of German in high school, but remember shockingly little; there wasn't much opportunity to practice. (My pronunciation of Windkessel ended up being somewhere between proper German and a sloppy Americanization of it.)

What is the cause of a low diastolic but high systolic BP?
