Is it sad that Artie would die to look like this again?
@masterragebaiter
@masterragebaiter 4 ай бұрын
No it’s not. I’ve heard Artie talk about his early life. He literally had a goal of becoming a famous drug addict alcoholic. It’s not sad when someone gets what they’ve always wanted and wished for. The wish might be sad but it happening is not. Artie wanted all of this and wanted to be where he is. A washed up, semi famous addict who people will remember. That’s all he ever wanted. It’s not sad

I think they should do a movie about exactly what they do. Like how Howard Stern did with Private Parts. If Artie did a movie just like Private parts, it would be great. He would have to lose a bunch of weight but it would be good for him.

Wow, Artie's an absolute mess. So sad to see a guy go from an energetic comic to an obese slob who can hardly breathe in such a short time. I really wish the best for this guy, but he really needs to make an effort to take better care of himself.

@DestoRest 10 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. It's horrifyingly sad to see his fall from grace. That's his punishment. Karma finally came around to him and he has a lot to answer for. He's answering for it everyday sitting in that chair looking like a giant ball of shit and just realizing every minute how good he had it...Cause you know he has to be thinking that all the time. Poor fucking bastard....poor bastard...

@DestoRest
@DestoRest 10 жыл бұрын
Yea I agree. I'm sure everyone agrees. I'm such a fan of Artie and I worry about giving him any criticism because I don't want him getting even more depressed. The point is that I just feel bad for him. I worry about how long DirecTV will keep him doing this gig. I mean, does he even have much of an audience on here? I dint know much about DirecTv radio. Never even heard of it until he came on it. Well, now that I said that out loud, I guess that is a great contract negotiating point for him. Lol. So maybe that's a plus but the point is that it's just boring. I try and try to give it a shot because I love Artie so much and I think he is a hell of a talent but this isn't the way that his talent is realized in my opinion. Artie is not a "Maestro" like Stern was. He is not a host. It seems he doesn't know how to keep the show flowing like Howard did. And I'm sure that he would be the first to admit it. Artie was great on Stern's show because of his position. He was a comic. He didn't lead the show. He was there for comical anecdotes and to tell stories. He was perfect doing that because he is one heck of a story teller and he's funnier than hell. At the same time, Howard isn't what Artie is though he can play Artie's role much better than Artie can play Howard's because Howard is still hilarious and he is unbelievably smart. He's a genius in all sincerity. Artie's show is (I'm so sad to say) just boring. It sucks that he is the one hosting the shoe because that makes it so he can't chime in in himself with great stories and catchy one liners like he could on the Stern shoe because he wasn't expected to keep the flow of the show going. I'll stop rambling because I'm sure the three people that will ever read this paragraph know what I am trying to say...hopefully. I just wish he could have kept his shit together well enough to stay on the show. He fucked up so bad...I mean so bad. If he was just able to keep a hold on his addiction long enough, or at least quit a lot earlier, the he would have had it made. At the same time though, I think the fact that he was on heroin made the show better. And I don't mean because he had controversial things to talk about, though that did help, I mean because it just made him funnier. He wouldn't care to call people out and be obnoxious because he was lit; and guess what, it was hilarious. I just miss their chemistry on that show. That is something that no one will ever be able to reproduce again. Howard, Robin, Artie, and Fred were the perfect ingredients to a batch of the best radio soup one ever had the pleasure of listening to. Period. Any other radio personality out there can only dream to be half as good as those four during those golden years on the Stern show. I just really worry whys is next for Artie. I don't see this show lasting all that long. And what else is he going to do? Is he still doing stand up? I hope so. He just looks like he's going to die. That will be so frisking sad but I think that's what's coming. That's what happens when a lot of old men retire. Take Joe Paterno for example. He lasted two months after he was fired as the head coach at Penn a State. Had he not been fired, he'd probably be alive to this day. What can I tell ya? Artie, I wish you the best from the bottom of my soul my friend. I want to see you make the biggest comeback in the history of show business. It's a shame knowing that he will never work with a Howard and the rest of the Stern shoe ever again. I mean fuck, he's having KC on as a guest. Which is cool, but KC? Like, if your tuning in to the Artie Lange show and were never akin to the Stern show, your gonna be like, who the fuck is KC, ya know? Anyway...
