I just did a DJ gig last Saturday night (July 18, 2009) and when I played "I'm Gonna Miss You", the dance-floor filled immediately. The song is timeless! And to hear it remixed, with exciting, new instrumental and vocal tracks on top of the original track...well, it simply sent chills down my spine. Such a clever blend of old & new. Wish I'd had this one last Saturday night. I adore the original, but this one has real balls!!! Thanks IanLevine, for posting this. It really made my day!!!!

I've been onto this earth since 1957, & have seen music revolutionize from what it used to be, music is not as it used to be that's for sure. Music from the HEART , SOUL , MIND. May God bless them & those who are not with us anymore, musically wise.

It is so good to see you guy's. I sat in with you guy's at the Music Box in Cleveland Ohio 1966 I played conga's and Bongo's . After that I went into the U.S. Army,as you know Vietnam was happening then But I carried the memory of you fellows with me. I tell my grandchildren about being a musician and playing with your group Major Lance who is also from Chicago, the five dutones man I could go on. Good to see you this song brings tears to my eyes because I went into the service . God Bless fellows.

Yikes!! This one makes me feel long in the tooth. One of the bravest things I ever did was to wear a gaudy colored velour with two other band members and sing this song in my back then quite unrefined falsetto. But what else could we do, we loved the song. Thanks for posting this.
