"You don't have to be great or high rank at PvP" was probably the biggest piece of advice I took from this before I began making The Ascension. I'm not good at PvP and I avoided it like the plague, but I really wanted to make this backpack as it is the prettiest of the three legendaries. After a few months of grinding in AU evenings (thankfully not much rage in this time slot) and surprising myself getting a rank of Gold 3 I completed it. Thank you Muk

Took me 60 days of being a degenerate to get this, but gotta say, totally worth it. And the 60 days timegate can't be skipped, so it will take you two seasons at most and don't worry about the timeout in between seasons because the achievements not only count for 5v5 but also for 2v2 and 3v3. One important tip: Do the glorious armor pvp reward track for mist core fragments for a total of four times.

@@martirichter5111 Just to let you know, Im pretty sure the glorious reward track is only needed twice. You get 1 as default and then can select a 2nd as extra.

PvP is kinda basically a tighter WvW. I enjoy WvW for the exploration aspects and go out of my way to avoid enemy players when solo. PvP you're forced to deal with them

I was all excited that I might one day own these until you said I had to win the occasional match. Is there, like, a pair of wings for people with negative perfect records? Maybe 2 tattered streamers that lightly blow in the wind as you run to and fro to objectives that you know deep down you'll never claim?

I made it back in the day when this gorgeous backpack was released by simply getting carried lol. You can do it, too. I don't do PvP, dude. I just went on metabattle.com, found a good build, and started playing. I lost a shit ton, but it's mostly about time. It just takes time. Winning ain't the issue, you'll win if you find a good group to tag with. Waiting is. Don't let the power of fashion wars stop you.

the " play bunch of pvp " can have some details like each one of those achv will take 15 days at least to finish, cause u need to go higher in rank each day after playing 3 ranked matches, if u play 3 matches and lose them all .. you just made it 16 days. Another tip: better finish the win with three classes first cause there's another achv included in " play bunch of pvp " which is win certain amount of matches " 40,60 .. " and the other one is gaining points toward your pvp rank which will you have weather you lose or win. you explained fractle one very well than this one, probably you didn't make the ascension yet :D thank you for the guide

While you are correct (I made ad infinitum so didn't make this as I didn't need 2 leg backpacks) I mainly wanted to give people the breakdown and tools they needed to get everything as quick as possible. That's why I included links to everything in case something I mentioned wasn't detailed enough. (But I do apologize if I was TOO brief on something!)

I could have had this so many times over, but I'd never crafted that first item to start working on the complete unlock of the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th achievement sets. :( Oh well, the "hard" stuff is already done. Now I just need to play a bunch of sPvP, which I do anyways. Great video. Thanks!!

VM and UM can be a more efficient route. You still have to pay cash for the trophy shipments and packets, but they convert more efficiently.

I certainly lucked out that I like Glorious armor looks. Otherwise I'd have skipped that part and wouldn't have had 4+ mystic core fragments, and be upset about needing to pvp moar. (or maybe, be happy I got one more reason to play my favourite gamemode. I haven't decided yet)

One detail that wasn't clear to me for a while: You have to play 3 ranked games PER DAY in order to advance one of the achievements. I was playing ranked 1 or 2 games for a bit because I had finished my Wizard's daily. However, you need to play 3 ranked games a day to make progress on that particular achievement. So don't be like me and stop after you got your astral acclaim. :P

I didn't get legendary backpack (2021 may) my achievement was have only the ascension l the trill of battle so in Oct 2021 so I finished all the ascension achievements so I got legendary backpack gw2 5 months ago

I was literally browsing the league vendor, I saw the 4 wings and I went like "oh, cool skins". I buy them all, unlock their skins then I proceed to DELETE each one of them, not knowing they must be combined for the precursor item. FML.

You said we don't need good PvP rating, like gold, platinum to get them BUT in path of the ascension 3 one of the requirements is EARN 75 TOP STATS IN RANKED MATCHES, which is 1.5k rated (top 75 which is PLATINUM rank)

75 top stats is like: 1) most kills in a match 2) most healing in a match 3) most kills in a match 4) top defender in a match 5) top on offense in a match etc It has nothing to do with the top 75 ranked slots on the leaderboard.

As this actually requires wins, you're basically expecting to be carried as a dead-weight player. That probably won't happen in ranked PVP. Please stop encouraging toxicity in that mode... It's already Fubar enough. WvW participation awards are that way ------------------------->
