Ashimmu is super good with a phantasm, phantasm tanks, ashimmu flattens cap. Just take a friend and fly around deep null killing ppl

Its a cool detail that the Ashimmu has a role bonus for Energy nosferatus since they drain the opponents capacitor and capacitor energy is like the blood of your ship so technically they are draining the blood of your ship. 'Blood Raider' am i right 😉 Cool video btw 😃😃

I have a similar fit with my Ashimmu. But I went for damage and using predator web and disruptor so I can lock down, slow them and start bleeding their cap at 30km while I close in for the kill. 900 dps hot and 715 cold with meh laser skills. Working on improving hp cuz with my one hardener I'm sitting at almost 30,000. Still got a ways to go but will be a fun small gang ship. :)

Okay, just finished the audit timer and fit mine. An alliance member suggested looking at a shield tank fit, much in the same way some folks shield tank the Vigi with a LSB. I might give it a go just to see what happens. I'm honestly not super thrilled with (even blue) armor hardeners, and it stinks to lose a low slot to double rep. In the end though, I know the aim here isn't to out-tank their DPS, it's just to out-tank their capacitor for about 20-30s. If I give it a try, I'll let you know how it works out!

Hey not sure if its just me but during your last 2 videos im hearing audio feedback in the form of a buzzing sound periodically throughout your videos. I had one at 2:50 that went for about 3 seconds.

CPT Benzie, you mentioned Shield vs Armor tanking and game mechanics in later videos and using shield low slot mods even on armor tank ships. That being said, would you recommend now using low shield mods/rigs instead of armor on this ship?

The warp drive issue gave me an unrelated idea. Couldn't you drain your friend's capacitor at a gate in low sec, have them warp to another popular gate. Then since they won't make it all the way, their ship would stop in the middle of nowhere. Then could you put up a warp sphere in that spot? Essentially making a "gate camp" while being away from police in the middle of space?

Bubbles can also only be placed in null sec, police/gate guns would also kill your friend for nossing you. Finally they only pull you out of warp if your exit point is within the bubble, and the bubble is active when a ship tries to navigate a warp path.

It's not a great ship for PvE, but essentially swap the Scram for another web, and the Neut for another No's.

Can it take down a vexxor Navy issue before the drones slice it to ribbons? Remember that Drones don't care if the mothership's capacitor is flattened.

@@beng7845 Except of course that the drones start "Doing their thing" when you're 50 or so KM away on your way in. Also note that the Vexxor's two Nosferatus will be replenishing his capacitor while you're sucking it, so he can still repair his own armor in between your neutralizer cycles.

Definitely, I run a large NOS and Neut, no ship bar a BS has lasted more than 24 seconds before its a brick. I run x 2 medium armour repair and an adaptive so easily enough to take the hits to drain the ship then pick of the drones 👌 My Neut drains 1211GJ every 24 seconds and my Nos 403 every 10 seconds. The alpha drain alone takes most cruiser ships cap to half 😉

@@captainbenzie I dunno, the fitting you recommended for the VNI includes two Nos...couldn't the VNI "Borrow" some of your capacitor to run his tank a bit in between your neutralizer cycles, since he has two Nos and you have one? Your capacitor would certainly have a higher percentage than his.

Checkout Ashimmu’s web bonus. I don’t think the drones will survive before reaching it. Drone ship pvp is always a bit meh because how easily it is to remove 80% of the dps by just shooting down the drones.

For the Ashimmu that doesn't theoretically have problems with Capacitance, would you ever suggest 2 armour repairers + 1 armour hardener, instead of 1 armour repairer + 2 armour hardeners?

You can fit a large vyk nos instead of the neut with the right skills, even thrn, you can still fit a large c type repairer (also requires skills)

Ya 1 vriloskav large nos, 2 pg rigs, 1 aux rig, 1 explosive rig, 1 kinetic rig and 1 armor rep bonus rig. Low slot I use 1 AB, 1 adaptive hardener, 1 tracking comp and 1 armor rep. I use 2 webs ( can be debateable and changed to something like a tracking disruptor or a medium nos/neut) and a disruptor.

I find having a large Nos and large Neut is more effective on my Ashimmu. With 3 MK3 power rigs it fits and no ship bar a BS can last more than 24 seconds before it’s a brick. I don’t think I have your discord anymore since leaving GH but if you would like me to screen shot my fit I am happy to help if it gives you ideas to tinker 👍

Ashimmu is such a good ship. Especially for small PvP gang. I don't reccomend it for pve or solo pvp.

@@odpslegend9592 I guess it depends on the range of engagement, phantasm is very similar in terms of range to the Ashimmu so if the Phantasm doesn't use a cap battery its going to rapidly run out of cap to power its AB, shield hardeners and repairers or fire its lasers. The Vigilant is probably stronger against one due to it massively OP web bonus, essentially its going to prevent the Ashiummu from getting within effective range of its nos/neut/lasers while ripping it apart. Daredevils and Vigilants are laser ships worse enemies since lasers have a terrible range and you just cant get close enough to one to kill it.

@@christiancarlred3397 you wouldn't use it for solo pvp because in doing so you lose 2 mids to tackle mods when you could run more neuts/nos with a small gang or even bigger. That being said, 20 man fleets and smaller would in theory only need one ashimmu if you plan to use one. You could interrupt any non-fuel powered support ships and do a good deal of cap damage to stuff like feroxes or omens

@@soumilsingh8585 I just recomment farming 210 mil for a basic fitting and the Harbinger itself. I got all that while farming t4 Inquisitors and scouts... I you want to get that even faster, you can jump in a Maller first and do the t6 Caldari or Amart story missions (you will need a lot of patience and time for that)... If thats still not fast enough, you can try to farm Gurists scouts, because they will give you Caldari data cores, which are at 1 mil per core on the market

The Ashimmu is a very niche ship, and it's main strength is in a 1v1 scenario, anything else has depreciating returns far more significantly than other factions. Null fleet pvp is mainly small to medium frig gangs which by far are the most ISK effective, to be honest faction pvp is very wasteful when a small gang of 5 frigates can overwhelm the majority.

Regarding drones, I know the popular opinion is that you should match the damage to the opponent you’re fighting, but we should really stop promoting it that way. Frankly, the actual difference in damage across the lifetime of a target is very, very little. Around 2%. What IS important is the different speeds, defenses, tracking speeds, and activation times across drones. No use having a big ass slow hammerhead that can’t catch up to a mwd frigate when you’re in an anomaly. Damage is important, sure, but consider the type of enemies you’re fighting, what their stats aside from resists are, and check the overall stats of the drones. Could be the difference between surviving and getting scrammed to death by a single elite frig.
