Hell yeah, I saw this video when Oompaville posted it and I was hoping this would make its way to Asmongold. Almost everytime this happens, it cracks me up because inevitably Asmongold will interject in his reaction video that either things are worse than they're making it sound, or that the lore they dug up is just scratching the surface and that there's better stories, and in both cases he'll then proceed to horrify half his audience that didn't know and crack up the other half that either did know or at this point just aren't surprised anymore. I haven't even watched this video yet, but considering it's over twice the length of the original video, I think it's safe to say there'll be a lot of that in this video and I can't wait for it.

So basically what he said after the video was over: People treated him unworthy to be loved and feel valuable and he accepted it and stopped caring about himself and taking care of himself. Then also both parents were very sick and he realized there is an actual chance of both dying. His mom was endangered to be homeless and there was the experiene of actualy poverty and an existential fear of not surviving in this world. And after some time your brain just says "you know what, it's not worth it" and I know this moment in life and he just stopped caring. Now he kind of realized that there is still a way to go, but the surrender is a habit of his daily life and he's constantly contemplating if it is worth to start caring again in small parts. In my opinion it's tragic, because it shows what happens to a person if he doesn't feel valuable as a human being. Every person has a value and the potential to be loved and love others, but sometimes the pain and the suffering makes you doubt it. I think a lot of people can connect with this because sometimes life is just tragic and Zack is confident enough to accept and display this horrible development and not trying to be the winner here. But I still wish him to heal mentally and physically.

I think having a hoarder parent meant lower standards were set for what tidiness means, and the personal consequences for not deep cleaning weren't enough to push adult Asmon to behave otherwise ― afterall, we don't engage in behaviours just because there's an objectively "good" reason to do it. It’s interesting to hear Asmond talk about his money… I had a job (before health retired me) where I was making nearly 6-digits a year. I went from +30k job to a nearly $100k job, very close to it. I had a TON of extra money that I didn’t know what to do with, so I just put it away, saved it, stored it up… had no other purpose for it. I understand where he’s coming from. I had enough money to pay CASH for a house - I didn’t, but I could of. It’s nice to have the money there as it provides you with a sense of safety and security, as you have that money there should something happen - as it did for me. I had that money there to pay in cash for all my medical needs. Am I broke now? Yes. Im back to a $30k type of job now. But I’m HAPPY and well - all that matters. I feel you Asmond. Good on you. 12:40 Norwegian here, luckily not directly affected by Anders Brevik's mass shooting. However, I still think that's a time where the police and special forces seriously messed up big time. Brevik had called in a week or two prior to the event happening, reporting himself and his plans as well as his reasoning/goal. Instead of taking this threat seriously, the officer's superior just told her it was likely just a fake phone call and to ignore it, not even bother even remotely looking into the threat. Then on the day that the event took place, Brevik repeatedly called the police - if I'm not mistaken - both on his way to the island the mass shooting took place, as well as on the island. Brevik WANTED to be caught, which was why he gave the police ample opportunities to stop him from enacting his plan, and from continuing to shoot people when he was on the island, but the police took well over 1 hour to get to the island due to a series of issues like miscommunication and thinking it had to be more than a single person involved, and lack of preparedness. They could have been at the island within 20 minutes or less, and could have stopped him from shooting more than one or two people, but because of the previously mentioned stuff, he got to continue his shooting spree only interrupted by him repeatedly calling the police - and often failing to get through due to overtaxed phone lines - and attempting to negotiate his surrender to the police. Once the police finally did come, he surrendered himself peacefully without a single bullet being shot from either side, and I think he incredulously asked why it took them so long to show up, that he'd expected them a long time ago.

As hard as it may be for some people to believe, there's some truth to what Asmon said about "recalibrating" his body and his shower habits. While it's not like you'd never get oily or whatever again, depending on how often you shower definitely affects the rate at which your skin produces oil and how quickly your scalp can get dry and whatnot. I'd dated a girl that was obsessive about taking showers 2 to 3 times a day and claimed her face would get oily if she didn't, and it started happening only like 6-8 hours after her last shower, so she'd need to shower again.. And it was actually true. She could wipe a napkin on her forehead and you could visibly see it. If you find yourself in harsh enough circumstance that showers just literally aren't available for periods of time, or isn't a consistent thing you have access to, eventually you'll find it really does "recalibrate" your body, it's like your body adjusts to "knowing" that you aren't expecting to be doused in water like clockwork at whatever specific interval. Or at least spacing out the intervals. The same ex and I went through this, and she basically went from getting "oily" after 6-8 hours, to like every ~3rd day or so. It also depends on your environment. If you're outdoors and moving a lot, it's obviously going to cause you to sweat.. Or just being fat, as Asmon mentioned. And it can be pretty gross to let that just dry up on you and repeat over and over while it builds up. But if you're indoors and live a very sedentary lifestyle, you're not sweating often.. And granted your house isn't dirty, so we're kinda speaking generally and outside of Asmon now, but there isn't much that contributes to your body "getting dirty" beyond biologically what your body is producing, and I just specified in the specific instance of not sweating.. I'm obviously not saying that means there's NO need to shower, ever, just that it isn't as absurd or unreasonable to go a day, or even two, if you're like mentally comfortable with it more than anything. One of the several unexpected wonders of things you discover or knowledge you gain when you've fallen on hard times..
