Regardless, if you are going to give severe consequences for Generals for losing a war, where it could be another General, some of their subordinates, or even a random natural event that ensured defeat, then you wont have Generals... or at least competent Generals. What you figure out is whether the General made such a bad choice, that it could only have lead to failure... And Generals worldwide do take responsibility (outside of corruption) for when they are responsible for something. I bet, if you were a boss, a random person that has been treated well, trained well, has no indication of doing anything weird, who then suddenly turns up to work, smashes everything and leaves... you don't want to get fired, despite you having no control over that? OR what if a Hurricane ruins the entire stock... I guess you wouldn't want to be fired over something you quite literally can't control? If you live for long at all you will see almost everyone who testifies with congress constantly perjure of themselves it is practically a tradition to stonewall congress. It almost never ends in a shred of a charge or fine of any sort. The refrence made to one person in particular being prosecuted is literally the first time in my fourty years I have ever heard someone being prosecuted and every single congressional hearing I have ever seen has resulted in accusations of perjury during the hearing. In the UK and Europe there is just as much if not more knife crime compared to gun crime in the US. In some places the criminals have hand grenades and they're blowing apartment buildings apart. Theres like 4000 unsolved knife crimes a year. On the topic of mass shootings, the number only seems that high because people like to use the statistic that lumps gang related violence with non gang related violence is a drive by that hits 3 people is classified the same as a massacre. It's very intellectually dishonest especially when the majority of mass killing fall under the prior example. It paints a picture that everyday legal law abiding gun owners go out and commit mass murder. When in reality the majority of gun crime is perpetrated by illegal gun "owners"

pushing their gun ban during the hearing is crazy. They were trying to constitute this ass a mass shooting, comparing it to mass murders that had wayy more deaths. And of course the perp had an AR -15 style rifle, which all of them are going after. Gun fits perfectly for their narrative to punish the majority of law abiding citizens for the few. Their plan was to kill trump and use a gun ban to bolster their agenda.
