offhand, the book that comes to mind with that trope is True Grit by Charles Portis (which was also made into a movie of course). highly recommend if you haven't read it, very funny book

First off, I’m slightly envious you can willingly get up at the butt crack of dawn and actually be productive. While reading to the sunrise. My productivity is not ignoring my alarms and grudgingly sliding outta bed each morning… 🫡🫡 Secondly, if you’re willing to branch out from physical books, I’d recommend Wattpad. Since you mentioned not being picky about genres, there’s a plethora of books to choose from on there. My personal fave is dark romance and Wattpad is literally my go to for reading them. There are ads but quite honestly it’s a small price to pay when you’re able to read books from talented authors.
