I really think the Assassin's Creed 2 soundtrack is in the top 3 of the best soundtracks ever made for a video game. It mixes italian sounds, mystery and incredible melodies ... Just a masterpiece.

I feel the same way. I'm not a fan of old school 8-bit, so my favorite OSTs are more modern, but AC II is definitely my favorite soundtrack of all time.

Due to Ezio's saga, I finally visited Italy a few months ago and hit up Venice, Rome and Florence. All of them were beautiful and the games did an excellent job of rendering them. I was also able to wander round all the cities while listening to Jesper's soundtracks on my phone, and damn was it evocative. His music fit each city so perfectly. Also, you know that AC is LEGIT when they actually have the AC2 book for sale in the gift shop of the Uffizi Gallery!

For me it was the other way around, I visited Italy in 2013 (I didn't know much about Assassin's Creed and had no idea about Ezio back then), and I'm currently finishing ACII. The songs are really on point, as well as the cities themselves, like you said, it really brings you back to the game (well, in my case, the game brought me back to my trip there). Sadly I wasn't able to visit Uffizi Gallery (my school decided to take us to the Galleria dell'Accademia -where David is- instead), but that sounds awesome!

Another great episode, Loomer. To be able to have these conversations with some faces behind the scenes is a gift, and getting to know how the minds of these brilliant people tick is really amazing. I also admire how much you respect your guests, knowing exactly when to end a conversation, careful not to pry too much. It shows a great deal of professionalism and maturity, and it's why this is one of the only podcasts I listen to, and find I have to listen to each one, regardless of the fact it is a podcast centred on a series I love. As for Jesper Kyd AC, tracks, it's hard to pick just one, with so many astounding tracks that evoke such powerful emotions, but I have always loved Sanctuary. It is so hauntingly beautiful, and makes me reflect on all those I've lost in my life. I found it really interesting when Jesper Kyd mentioned that it was a piece about death. Every time I hear it I find a tear in my eye, and whenever I chance upon it in the game, I stop what I'm doing, get caught up in the beauty of the world around me, and just close my eyes. Truly a masterful piece. Thank you so much, Jesper Kyd for all your exceptional music. And of course, I'd love to enter to win the CD. Jesper Kyd has touched me with his music like very few other composers have, and the power of his music will forever resonate with me and all those who have felt something because of this amazing man.

I think my favorite track from the series is the title track from Rogue. The use of Ezio's Family fits Shay's story very well with how his brothers and sisters become his enemies (being a sort of tragic event), while the rest of the track helps tie it back to the other games in the American saga of the series. Would love to be entered in the giveaway. Thanks for the opportunity and for doing the interview, both of you!

My favourite would either be Ezio's Family or Venice Rooftops, since AC2 was my introduction to the series, I'm glad that I had found it when I did. Hearing the music does bring back a sense of nostalgia, as it is hinted in the openings for the other Assassins Creed games such as Unity and Rogue. Have been a subscriber since the Podcast with Roger Craig Smith, although arriving at this video shows that thanks to the "Update" from KZbin that I needed to re-subscribe, anyway another great video and keep up the great work! I would like to enter the giveaway and I hope the best of luck to everyone who enters!

Jesper Kyd is terribly missed...and that's me just off AC origins. What he mentioned about the "romanticism" of the games is spot on, and his ambient music was a major part of it, aswell as the slightly exaggerated art style and lighting. It Was like being in a painting at times compared with the photo realistic later games. While origins had some moody ambient stuff...it played for about 15 seconds then was silent again for 10-15 minutes. Wandering around cities in near-silence is such a mis-step I have no idea why the developers cannot see the importance of it distinct ambient themes to establish their regions and cities.
